So, the Panthers are trying to re-sign Julius Peppers and Jordan Gross. They only have $10M left under next year's cap. Their have been rumblings of releasing Delhomme, which would clear ~$7M. If this happens, what are the chances he ends up a Viking?

Am I the only one that thinks going for two when down, 33-13 is kind of dumb. Especially when there are 50 seconds left.

Did they really think that extra point was going to make a difference?

I think the Vikings (=Childress) will give TJ another chance this year, after showing some signs of improvement last year.

Delhomme won't be around all year, I think. He'll be picked up soon enough.(Maybe to the Lions, like a Pennington to Dolphins-like thing?)

That does leave questions for the Panthers at QB though. Their backup is Josh McCown, someone I wouldn't want to have starting for my football team. Maybe they'll draft someone or pick someone up, but I think Delhomme will be there for at least another year.

That is the current rumor, Delhomme will be the starter in 09'. But they need a backup.

Now I don't think it would happen, but lets throw an off the wall option.

Panthers franchise Peppers, then trade him to GB for Brohm or Flynn and some pick consideration.

they certainly won't be keeping Gross, Delhomme, AND Peppers. If they end up keeping Peppers, most likely delhomme and gross will go. Peppers' salary next year, if tagged, will be around $17M. It's going to be interesting.

This certainly wasn't what I expected to see. So now we ask... What is wrong with Jake!?

He sucks and Steve Smith has made him look better than he actually is.

Delhomme's an unclassy whiney bitch and the performance he put on last night was well deserved, Happy birthday Jake.....you still suck!

I would be PISSED if the Packers paid Peppers $17 million next season. That would make him far and away the highest-paid player on the team. There's no way he's worth that much, only one season removed from an abysmal 2007 campaign.

I'm for the Cards all the way. Kurt Warner is one of my all time favorite players. Besides, the Cards are due. And I really, really hate the Eagles.
