The guy doesn't know the depth of end zone worth a lick, but he does a good job analyzing the QB position.

What I see is a QB that still can't get his footwork down and he locks on the 1st guy. On the 1st pass, he is off the ground when he makes the pass, and granted it was the hot route but he also had the Jones coming out of the backfield and on the TD pass, he is falling away from the line of scrimmage. Granted it was nice he actually gave his guy a chance to catch the ball but if you watch you will see a guy coming wide open on the slant right in front of him in the endzone. Like i have stated over and over again this league is easy right now to put up numbers (just look at any QB that plays the Packers or how the 80 yr old Flacco is shredding everyone) and look at Love's scouting report when he came out. Needs to work on accuracy and lacks the arm strength for the deep ball and has bad footwork, and all of these still show up after 3 years of QB school. I do not think he is someone that should get the 5 year $150 million contract just yet. I say wait until 1/2 way thru next year and see what we have.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

I am happy with his vision compared to Rodgers though. If the #1 read is open, take it. Like you said, D is basically so hamstrung in tghis NFL that it is probably best to keep it simple. With Love, I see much less of the holding on the ball too long that Rodgers would do. Those 3rd down sacks were so frustrating. QB needs to trust the timing windows in an offensive systems like MLFs or they are just playing sand lot. Regarding the one play in the end zone. the ball was released before the slant route was open so I am not sure that was the correct read. He had single coverage with Dobbs and placed it perfectly.

I guess he reminds me of Matt Hasselback or Kirk Cousins maybe. They put up okay numbers but nothing stands out saying he is worth breaking the bank on. Love just looks so much different with his footwork and his passes now from the preseason. It's like he doesn't have the confidence to just let it rip from instinct, I think it was Kevin in chat that said he looks like he is aiming his throws. Maybe another year of QB school will help because I like he is still under contract next year to give him more time to see what he can do. And it's not the numbers it's I guess it factor and I just don't see it. Having bad accuracy when you miss your guys by being a little behind or a little high but when the receivers can't even get their hands on it is the problem. When we lose Sunday night I wish they would let Clifford play the final week of the season just to see what he has.
