Might be ready to return during TC.

Stokes’ recovery is right on track, the source said, and the Packers are taking a cautious approach with a talented player. If all goes well, he could make his training camp debut in a couple weeks.

From a Packers.com article today

Here's the latest:
....
The health reports on receiver Christian Watson and cornerback Eric Stokes are positive as well.
....(MLF commented that Watson "looked great") Same with Stokes, who has "been full-go."

All the good news comes with the caveat that offseason workouts are non-contact and non-competitive, with no players lining up across from one another until OTAs in late May, and even those will be non-padded practices.

But Gutekunst gave a strong vote of confidence in particular to the cornerback room with a healthy Stokes,

I think Stokes' health was a key factor in them not taking a corner.
Go Packers!!!!

And using a lot more blitzes.

So higher risk, but it takes pressure off the coverage, at least assuming we can get home and pressure effects the QB.

I am a believer in it starts up front. I'd rather a dominant pass rush over dominant secondary. I think a dominant pass rush can also stymy rushing attacks and there's no secondary that can cover consistently for 5 seconds or more.

It is a nickname the Packers aquired many years ago. The term implies that the Packers would scare you week in and week out with games that were just scary to watch to the point of being hard on your heart to watch. Some say from the '89 Packers team, my recollection is far earlier. Some teams have adopted the nickname in other sports and teams, but I would submit ours was the original. We have all lived it, it's just that maybe some of us didn't know a phrase about it had been coined. A "Baby boomer benefit" I would be more than pleased to relinquish.

I want you to be right about the power of the pressure on the qb. I want this scheme change and the personnel decisions to work. I want them to "get home" on that qb. The cardiac pack comes in when they are trying, even getting there when some wr streaked through, or didn't get there and the qb hits his receiver, or misses and we got lucky, etc. etc. etc.

My off season would be better if we had just one more CB I felt really good about.

One more is not greedy, imo

Zero2Cool (4-May) : S2?
beast (4-May) : Seems like the S2 has a love/hate relationship with professional scouts.
