We're less than a day from the 2023 Draft and a few days into a new era in Packers history. So in order to kill some time until the draft starts, what are your draft predictions?

1. Gute will take an offensive lineman in the draft: layup at this point
2. Three TEs will be taken by the end of draft: need bodies at the position badly and Gute has zero issue double and triple dipping at a position
3. Gute will break from his traditional size requirements and take a smaller guy at WR (less than 6 foot 200 pounds): weak WR class, lots of smaller guys and the need for speed means Gute gets away from his usual standards.
4. Aaron Jones' replacement will be drafted in the 4th/5th round and will be almost identical in height, weight, RAS score etc: Jones is going to be 29 by the end of the season and will have a hefty cap hit next year (just north of $17 million according to Over the Cap).

Good observations. May want to add one more- Gute takes an older player in the first two rounds.

Okay, we do have four 7th round picks, so I guess three of them will likely be TE's. It helps shore up special teams!!

I would like to give a prediction. I'm just too uninformed. I didn't watch a single game of college outside of Badgers games. So, everything I know is from combine results, highlight videos and box score reads.

AJ Dillon is in final year so I think a RB or two seems likely. I try to look at the expiring contracts and the career duration of players. That has been helpful in projecting positions the Packers will try to load up on. RB's are a position that they tend to have short careers while they can be productive in year one. So you can wait until RB is in final year to draft someone to replace the production.

I'm going on a tangent and way off topic so I shuddup now. Good stuff though Mucky and it makes sense! So that means Packers will draft three QB's

Regarding RB, I think Dillon will be kept around since he's younger and will likely be more affordable plus he'll be the power to someone else's speed in the future.

I dont know about three QBs, but I think they'll draft one. 👍

JSN - I think he is on par with Garrett Wilson as a prospect
OT - There is a good group of prospects. Think Peter Skoronski fits the culture of our team.
Pass Rush - Luke Van Ness reminds me of DeMarcus Ware

Bold Prediction - Packers make two picks tonight.

I think Gute will keep getting players that are at least 200 lbs. This draft is loaded with smaller WRs but there are absolutely some big ones as well. I'm thinking Tillman, Rice, Mingo... Packers also met with some in predraft.

This would only be if he falls to the Packers picks in the 2nd round but the RB from Alabama, I was thinking he would be like Dalvin Cook but faster and the Packers might like that for a potential RB replacement.

Someone over 270 lbs will be drafted by the Packers in the 2nd round (or wherever the 2nd round picks are traded to).

Some fans are going to be upset lol
I might be totally wrong, but I'm thinking they're having a rebuilding year and this draft will be about loading up the offense for QB Love and letting the offense develop together, as it can take the offense longer to get on the smae page and then hopefully they'll be set going into 2024 and the future.

Packers draft at least 3 players they had pre-draft meetings with.

Zero2Cool (3h) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (3h) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
dfosterf (5h) : Jeff Hafley would have been a better choice, fortunately they don't know that. Someone will figure that out next off season
Zero2Cool (6h) : Aaron Glenn Planning To Take Jets HC Job
dfosterf (6h) : Martha- C'est mon boulot! 😁
Zero2Cool (7h) : Thank you
wpr (7h) : Z, glad you are feeling better.
wpr (7h) : My son and D-I-L work for UM. It's a way to pick on them.
Zero2Cool (7h) : Thank you. I rarely get sick, and even more rarely sick to the point I can't work.
wpr (7h) : Beast- back to yesterday, I CAN say OSU your have been Michigan IF the odds of making the playoffs were more urgent.
dfosterf (7h) : Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better.
Zero2Cool (8h) : I've been near death ill last several days, finally feel less dead and site issues.
Zero2Cool (8h) : It is a big deal. This host is having issues. It's frustrating.
Martha Careful (8h) : just kidding...it was down
Martha Careful (8h) : you were blocked yesterday, due to a a recalcitrant demeanor yesterday in the penalty box for a recalcitrant demeanor
dfosterf (8h) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious
beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
beast (21-Jan) : You can't assume Ohio State would of won the Michigan game...
beast (21-Jan) : Rankings were 1) Oregon 2) Georgia 3) Texas 4) Penn State 5) Notre Dame 6) Ohio State, none of the rest mattered
wpr (21-Jan) : Texas, ND and OSU would have been fighting for the final 2 slots.
wpr (21-Jan) : Oregon and Georgia were locks. Without the luxury of extra playoff berths, Ohios St would have been more focused on Michigan game.
wpr (21-Jan) : Zero, no. If there were only 4 teams Ohio State would have been one of them. Boise St and ASU would not have been selected.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : So that was 7 vs 8, that means in BCS they never would made it?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : A great game. Give ND credit for coming back, although I am please with the outcome.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : FG to make it academic
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : and there's the dagger
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooo 8 point game with 4 minutes to go!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooooooohhhhhh he missed!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Ooooo that completion makes things VERY interesting
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Game not over yet
beast (21-Jan) : Oh yeah, Georgia starting quarterback season ending elbow injury
beast (21-Jan) : Sadly something happened to Georgia... they should be playing in this game against Ohio State
beast (21-Jan) : I thought Ohio State and Texas were both better than Notre Dame & Penn State
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame getting rolled
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : Ohio State just got punched in the gut. Lets see how they respond
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame vs the Luckeyes, bleh
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Oh snap!!!
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : Even Stevie Wonder can see that.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : Nah, you see Lions OC leaving to be HC of Bears is directly related to Packers.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ohhhhhhh Zero is in TROUBLE
packerfanoutwest (21-Jan) : Zero, per your orders, check Bearshome, not packershome
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : Then he'll land with another team and flourish.
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : Ben going to Bears. He'll be out in 3 years.
Mucky Tundra (20-Jan) : what's so funny?
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : Bears are finalizing a deal to hire Ben Johnson as their head coach. (via @tompelissero )
Mucky Tundra (20-Jan) : Looks like Lions OC Ben Johnson is going to be the Bears coach
