Florio drives me nuts. I understand what he does and why. I just hate it. In case you are wondering what I'm talking about.. He's baiting the retarded anti-Viking posters there at PFT into posting crap. Especially with the way he puts his blogs.

First off.. Zygi has been trying to get a new stadium for the past 3 years.. THREE. Yet, he makes it sound like Zygi is pouting all of a sudden now. The state had THREE freakin' years to do something about this.. especially BEFORE the economy tanked (and really, to be fair, they had more than a handful of years prior to Zygi, as Red McCombs pushed for a stadium too). Keep in mind, this is all BEFORE the recent 'blackout' playoff game.

Second, he makes it sound like Zygi wants 'free' taxpayer money. No. He wants the state to chip in. Because, lets be honest, the state will be one benefactor of a new stadium/downtown east renovation. The taxes they would be making on the new project would make up the cost. Lets not forget that even though the STATE finished paying off the Metrodump.. I mean dome.. AHEAD of schedule, the STATE never once thought to stop the liquor tax that was imposed to PAY for the Dome. So, the STATE has been taxing liquor sales to pay off the Metrodome, which has been paid off for YEARS. Where the hell is the remaining money at?

Thirdly, as much as I love Minnesota.. I hate it's politics and it's retarded voters. Jesse Ventura for Govn'r?? SRSSLY?!! Al 'Douchebag' Franken for Senator? What an effed up, politically crooked state.
