Apparently there is a video on the Vikings official website that has Jared Allen begging fans to buy playoff tickets. Why doesn't he buy 'em?

And yes, I'm aware of the generalization. I'm just fed up with the fans that want Allen and his teammates to buy up the remaining tickets. Look, they don't care of a black out.. they want butts in the seats. And they know if they buys the rest, that there's no guarantee that butts will fill the seats.

Not to mention the hopeful wake up call for the lazy Minnesota Viking fans. What a bunch of hacks.

I would say just about half, if not more, of Viking 'fans' are fair weather fans. And the majority of them are worse.

As this looming playoff blackout proves.

And it makes fans like myself and even more hardcore fans pretty pissed off.

EDIT: Oh, and let me make myself clear.. I never want to see the Vikings move to another city.. ESPECIALLY L.A. And I will cheer against them if they did move.

But if they did move.. I can honestly say now, I don't necessarily blame them. It's the spoiled 'fair-weathers' that hosed the rest of us. Hell, just look at the North Stars. They were going to Stanley Cups and still had trouble selling out. They move to Dallas. A few years later, the Wild come on the scene.. Lo and behold, they have one of the longest sell out streaks in the NHL. And the best fanbase. And the best arena.

Maybe that's what NFL fans in Minnesota need. To go a handful of years WITHOUT a team to realize what they lost. And never to take that for granted again.

I hated saying that, but it's how I feel.

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) The NFL has given the Minnesota Vikings one last chance to sell out the Metrodome for Sunday's playoff game against Philadelphia.

The Vikings have until 4:30 p.m. EST on Saturday to sell the remaining 3,100 tickets to avoid a television blackout in local markets.

Maybe Packer fans can offer to buy the 3100 tickets in a trade for a couple of their players. I think Jared Allen has to be worth a couple of tickets, and I'd buy at least 5 or 6 myself if it meant getting AD. I mean, what the heck, if they are going to lose the team anyway, might as well be neighborly while we and they still can be...

OR -- Vikes fans can get the Fox feed from Fargo (They just announced they will broadcast it)

OR (My personal favorite) If all vikes fans that are members of this site agree to a change of avatar and signature...of OUR choosing... we will convince Zero2cool to put the stream up in here.... :wav:

I find it commendable that you are teaching your son how to deal with disappointments and letdowns by attending the Viking game. It's never too early to face the harsh reality of Vikings history.
