I heard an interesting comment on one of the talk shows and it was from a current NFL player, I think it was Judon from New England. He brought up Rodgers ego in a way as he stated how the jets might be ruining their chances of getting Rodgers to play for them. He stated that everyone knows how Rodgers take things very personal and what must he be thinking about the Jets right now. They are basically telling him he isn't worth a 1st round pick which he is right on.
So will Rodgers ego of trying to prove to the Packers they were wrong to move on going to out drive his ego on not even being worth a first round pick and guys like Matt Stafford and Deshaun Watson are worth multiple 1sts and extra picks. I just thought it was ironic how even other players know how Rodgers is with his ego.
So what do you folks think about those comments which ego will drive him more? Will not giving up a 1st tell Rodgers to just play one year and say heck with it.

It is funny to me that some people think Aaron Rodgers won't retire because Tom Brady did, yet, those same folks will say Rodgers doesn't care about the compensation the Packers receive via trading him. It's like people just pick and choose what he is sensitive over while completely missing the big picture.
What about the other end of this? Do we think Packers want a 1st round pick in exchange for Aaron Rodgers? Do you think it's considered at all how that kid will be constantly compared to being the first round pick that was for Aaron Charles Rodgers? Do we consider that angle in any of this?
Speculating on Rodgers ego. I think he'll actually like it if the Packers were pressing for a 1st rounder in trade for him. I also think he'll like it if the Jets were like fuck off on that 1st rounder. Meaning, I think Rodgers has a love/hate relationship with the Packers. I think he loves them for giving him a chance in 2005 when numerous other teams passed on him. I think he hates them for drafting his replacement, even though he himself thought he was done after 2019 season.
Rodgers is a smart person. He'll eventually get over it and realize he can't hate the Packers for doing to him what they did to get him. It's like sleeping with a married woman who then divorces that guy and marries you. Can you really be upset WHEN she cheats on you? I mean, after all, it is how YOU landed her in the first place.
