Suppose he takes a pay cut?
Wants to "retire", but stay with the Packers?

No way this would happen. Rodgers isn’t going to come back the be a backup. And the Packers aren’t paying that salary for a backup either. Out of all scenarios, this is the least likely, as in 0%.

I understand your thought process though. It just won’t happen.

Wow man. Is Spoon confirming that the Packers gave up all there leverage to Aaron, such that now Aaron has all the leverage over them? Does anyone have access to this article?

The Packers are fine. They can't do anything right now anyway. But sure has to suck formulating two different plans. One with Rodgers, one without Rodgers.

In fairness, Aaron did have three years to prepare whereas the new guy had two, with one being the covid year, thus barely any training camp. But still.

Talk about selling the franchise's soul. There better be more to this story.

My hope is once Mark Murphy is replaced, the new CEO knows his role and stays the F out of football affairs. I know other organizations succeed with this everyone report to CEO/President but I just think it's cleaner for us to have everyone pointing to the GM.

I think Russ Ball and Matt LaFleur should be reporting to Brian Gutekunst rather than all three of them reporting to a CEO.

I also think if Brian Gutekunst was in full control, the whole Rodgers thing would be easier to predict.  Right now we're not sure if Murphy pulling strings or what.

Mark Murphy has to go!
It's going to be hard for me to hang on for another two years with him at the helm.
Although I'm quickly losing faith in LeFleur as well.
At the age of75 I don't have many years left to enjoy my beloved Packers..
I would enjoy these last few years a lot more if Murphy and Rodgers were gone.

Mucky Tundra (4-Aug) : and because it's not a dynasty league (which makes a lot more sense to be ability to trade picks)
Mucky Tundra (4-Aug) : Oh I know; I was just exploring and it blew my mind that you could trade picks because of the whole reordering thing
Mucky Tundra (4-Aug) : Zero, I think I preferred my offer: your 1st for my 15th rounder

Zero2Cool (1-Aug) : McLaurin nor Micah going anywhere. They will get money
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : the Synder years or do they take care of one of their own?
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : Do the Commanders risk losing a top WR with an emerging QB just because he's turning 30 and potentially risk damaging the rebuild from
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : Turns 30 this September, plays at a high level and Washington has some cap space I believe
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : More interesting is Washington with Terry McLaurin
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : I would imagine Dallas will resolve this issue with a truckload of money
