When Rodgers retires, they'll do the same thing Saints did with Drew Brees. That is redoing the contract to spread the cap hit through multiple years.

The tradeoff for cap savings now: If Aaron Rodgers retires or the #Packers move on after the 2023 season, they would have a $68.205 million dead cap hit on the books in 2024.

https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/green-bay-packers/aaron-rodgers-3745/ Based on spotrac.com if the Packers release Rodgers before 2023, then they're screwed with $68+ million dead cap hit in 2023...
Also, he's wrong about including retirement in there, as with retirement teams can demand a prorated part of the signing bonus back (which is usually a majority of not all of the dead cap space)...
Which is the reason Calvin Johnson is STILL pissed at the Lions... for taking a prorated part of the money back.
Looking at Rodgers contract, that's about $37 of the $68 million, and the majority of the rest is some sort of option bonus... which I don't know the details of... but point being, if Rodgers willingly retires, then the Packers are probably alright.
Now if Rodgers is forced to retire due to injuries and can't pass a physical to ever play the game again... yeah, Packers are screwed as 2022, 2023 and 2024 salaries are basically guaranteed in that scenario... (more good reasons to improve his OL... just saying).
