And you're making a mega assumption that Love is 80% as good as Rodgers, that we'd even make the playoffs with him, and that he wouldn't shit himself, like he did in his only action so far... that's a lot of assumptions, especially when almost all teams lose in the playoffs, the only team that doesn't is the one that wins the Super Bowl.

I do not read every single post. I typically always read yours because I value what you say. I believe I said enough in my post to indicate my tone was not attacking you. If not, my apologies. However, I don't think projections are worth their weight in salt. What I know is the Packers liked a WR or two and a QB when they moved up. They took the QB. In my mind, that means the Packers, a professional organization that scouts college players professionally value him as top 30 prospect from the 2020 collegiate ranks.

I believe the Packers believe a tier of talent was about to disappear that they wanted to grab one of the best players left on that talent tier, and expected the talent that was going to drop to their next pick, to be a tier below Love.

Guys like Mel Kiper Jr and Todd McShay, I will put some stock into their projections, but sure as hell won't say a player is going to be a stud because of their analysis. if they were really good at their job, an NFL team would have signed them already, lol. Right? haha

That being said, my biggest issue with Kiper and McShay is that (other than being blow hearts) much of their information is needed via ESPN+ subscription... so I don't know what they've predicted for a number of years.

That being said, this article said Kiper had Jordan Love at #19 in his final mock draft.

https://syndication.bleacherreport.com/amp/2888182-mel-kiper-jr-2020-mock-draft-jordan-love-to-raiders-in-espn-gurus-final-picks.amp.html

And this article suggests that Todd McShay bet $5,000 that love would be selected before Justin Herbert, which the article states Herbert was expected to be selected in the top 10 picks.

All I'm saying, is to suggest that no one had Jordan Love projected to go in the first round is a straight up lie... yes some had him as a 3rd rounder, but a decent percentage of mock drafts, even by the big named mock people, had Love in the first round, even if it's later I'm the first round.

I think it falls more into how coachable they are and what situation they land in.

I believe Love has fallen into a good situation and hopefully he can give us 15 years of elite QB play after Rodgers and Packers are done doing the dirty shakey dance.

Here's the top forty overall from ESPN+

Being a first round pick at ANY position is not a guarantee of being a super star. In fact, there are more "can't miss" players that end up as a miss then ones that pan out.
So just because you are a first round pick, it only guaranteed you a boat load of first round money for your rookie contract.

As for Aaron Rodgers needing to change his ways. I say trash on that. The man just one back-to-back MVP's and we're going to spout off that he needs to change his ways? The only thing I want Rodgers to change is simply taking what the defense gives you

Brady takes what the defense gives him. He doesnt play hero ball. Its why he can kill u late in the 4th because he dink and dunks his way to the endzone while defenses play to stop the deep ball

Remember when Love OUT PLAYED Mahomes?

People don't remember this. It was during that mid season slump after we replaced the longsnapper. Crosby missed a FG, AND we had one blocked. Those were the tying points right there. We lost by six iirc.

That's not on Love. Love doesn't play ST. He did his part by getting into FG range for those attempts.

Here's another thing. Love threw for more yards than Mahomes that day.

Love 190 yards
Mahomes 163 yards.

Haven’t read the boards, or posted in years. Enjoyed the fantasy league so much I decided to check back in. How am I not surprised to see nerdman still making convoluted and unintelligible arguments against Aaron Rodgers. Time flies but some things never change.
