I think he's just trying to set a shield, because Packers are going to either not try to resign some fan favorites or release or trade some.
And weather Rodgers comes back will determine if they go all in, or if they're sellers.
In one Pat McAfee discussion, Rodgers seemed like he wanted to go out on top, and he noted there's multiple ways to be on top... which got me thinking, if he wins back to back MVP votes, then there's a larger chance he retires, as he's "on top", at least individually.
Worst case scenario is Rodgers retires... then we're tagging Adams, and maybe or maybe not trading him.
