Believe it or not, I've actually heard people criticize Jennings for being "too cocky."

Ridiculous.

Honestly, listening to him on the NFL playbook spots that he did.. there was definitely some ego bleeding through..

But on the field and everywhere else.. I haven't seen it.

Oh, that's just showmanship -- the kid's got the gift of gab, he's gonna be a pastor after football. I can honestly say the kid gives me no indication that he's anything but a fantastic receiver and a solid citizen. That's precisely what we need in GB as we roll into the future w/ Rodgers.

Yeah and the best part about him is that he is the reason for the phrase:

I've been nothing but pleased with Jennings.

Heh. Funny you bring that up.
I was missing Javon at first then Gregorious showed why I'm glad he's no longer with us.

I have no problem with a little bit of ego. I call it "spunk."

Greg Jennings is never the guy to have big celebrations after TD's. He either tosses the ball to the ref and does a Lambeau Leap or he gets on one knee and says a little prayer. A classy individual, like the majority of the Packers.

there's no better way to celebrate a td than with a lambeau leap. i love those handshakes from the secondary after picks, though 🙂

I just watched his interview from yesterday and they asked about the contract and he said he would listen to his agent thats why he hired him. They asked him if he might hold out , he said he doubted it but it's always a possibility. It was a very interesting interview and i love how he avoided the Brett vs Rodgers comparisons. And said that Brett was not the reason they lost the games. The media was trying so hard to get a story started.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

I must admit it bothers me a tad that he didn't rule out the possibility of a holdout. Sure, right now the chances of a holdout might be only 0.1%, but if he hasn't ruled out that tactic, the chance will steadily increase as the deadline approaches. I'm guessing he'll have an extension or new contract in place before training camp starts, yet even if he doesn't, I hope he elects not to hold out. It's to his advantage, after all, to perform at a high level; that way, if he ends the '09 season without a contract, he can hit the free agency market with an even bigger splash.

As fans, we hate holdouts, but for a player, a hold out is their only bargaining tool. Why would a player completely rule that out?

I don't often side with players in contract situations, especially if it's one of those "I signed a big 5 yr contract two years ago, but now I want a new one" situations, but if a rookie has severly outperformed his initial contract and expects to be compensated as such, I generally have no problem with it - especially in a game like football where you're always one play away from the end of your career.
