Sounds like Aaron Jones' injury is an MCL, which is bad news, but not as bad is it could be (ACL). I'm not an except on this sort of stuff, but I read that if it's an MCL he could potentially be back this season - perhaps for the playoffs? Hopefully it's not too serious and he recovers soon.

If Jones is out for a few games, or the remainder of the season, that means a big, big dose of AJ Dillion. Getting into Nov/Dec, this is this the sort of time you want a bruising back like Dillion to be featured. I'm excited to see how he handles the workload.

That said, the Packer's depth at RB is going to be tested now, because with Kylin Hill already out for the year with an ACL, they have very little depth behind Dillion. Patrick Taylor is on the roster but has never touched the ball in a regular season game. I think they have a RB on the practice squad but I can't recall his name.

Do the Packers sign a veteran RB for a bit of depth now? If so, who is available?

Maybe the Lions will get regulated to the minor leagues and Green Bay can sign Jamal Williams...

They got Payrick Taylor, I wonder if they bring back Dex Williams. He'd fit right in on ST.

I think the key is that it's a sprain and not a tear. If it was MCL tear he's done for the season... but with just a sprain, I think he could be back before the Superbowl.

Now they probably need to still do a scan and make sure it's not a minor tear.

And even with sprains there are different degree of them... a minor sprain and he might be back in a month (purely guessing).

Dexter Williams looked horrible last year, so I'm not sure if I wouldn't look for an improvement.

RB/WR Tyler Ervin is a FA.

From an article I read earlier, though it wasn't completely updated, said these RVs are available.

Todd Gurley, 27
T.J. Yeldon, 28
Chris Thompson, 31
Frank Gore, 38
Alfred Morris, 33
Tyler Ervin, 28
DeAndre Washington, 28
Senorise Perry, 30
Kenyon Barner, 32
Ito Smith, 26
Kerryon Johnson, 24
Brian Hill, 25

Tyler Ervin makes some sense given his familiarity with the offense. Though I wonder if Amari Rodgers would be able to fill a similar role and they'll look at more of a traditional RB?

And use the roster spot for OLB where we have possible two injuries.

I also tried to look at the PS of the teams that are running wide zone offense style like the Packers.

These RBs stood out to me
Falcons Caleb Huntley 5-10, 229
Vikings A.J. Rose Jr. 6-1, 211
Bengals Elijah Holyfield 5-10, 215
Bengals Trayveon Williams 5-8, 206

Note I might be a bit biased to the one below here, I jist enjoy watching him and thinking of him as a potential returner before his draft.

Bengals WR* Pooka Williams Jr. 5-9, 175
Williams is a rookie and was a RB in college, he ran a 4.36 at his pro day. He doesn't have power, but plenty of quickness and speed.

Bengals also had DT Mike Daniels on their PS, which I thought was interesting... I mean, if we need a DT...

I think we will have good success with Dillon. He’s the type of RB that gets better/more effective the more you hand it to him. I just hope we don’t over-use him too much and get him hurt too.

I like what Dillon brings to the offense. Nevertheless it's great to have complementary RBs. One inside the other who can get outside.

I want them both please.

dfosterf (25-Jun) : You do have to interpret the boring fine print, but all stockholders all see he is on the ballot
dfosterf (25-Jun) : It also says he is subject to another ballot in 2028. I recall nothing of this nature with Murphy
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy is on my ballot subject to me penciling him in as a no.

dfosterf (25-Jun) : Because I was too lazy to change my address, I haven't voted fot years until this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.
Zero2Cool (25-Jun) : Maybe wicked wind chill made it worse?
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : And then he signs with Cleveland in the offseason
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : @SharpFootball WR Diontae Johnson just admitted he refused to enter a game in 41° weather last year in Baltimore because he felt “ice cold”

Mucky Tundra (20-Jun) : GB-Minnesota 2004 Wild Card game popped up on my YouTube page....UGH

Zero2Cool (19-Jun) : Well, to ONE person on Tweeter
Zero2Cool (19-Jun) : According to Tweeter
