Does the GM want Randall Cobb to succeed or fail

Listening to the radio and this topic came up. One person is saying the Brian Gutekunst wants Cobb to fail so he can say this is why players play and GM's GM. The other person said Gutekunst wants to win a Super Bowl.

Honestly, I can't imagine anyone wanting to lose or someone to do bad. Or maybe do bad and still win? I would think if Cobb flourishes, it makes Gutekunst look good because he was able to swallow some pride and concede a decision and made the most of it.

I don’t think he would even say anything if Cobb bombed. He’d just leave it up to the people to figure it out themselves. If he said anything about it, he’d come off looking petty.
I’m sure the media would ask him that very question, and he’d just smile and say nothing. Let them fill in the blanks themselves.

He'll succeed, Rodgers will make sure of it. The Packers usually have a plethora of single covered options since Adam's and the run game draw their fair of attention. If Tonyan can get 10 tds I bet Cobb gets atleast 5.

Gutey can't lose if Cobb does well, unless the rest of the team sucks, in which case it would not have mattered what Cobb had done anyway.

People can be so dumb. Narrow minded and ARGGGGG.
I am sure Gutey would be very happy if Cobb was the SB MVP. Who gives a rat's ass about all the little mind game crap?
Gutey is here to make the Packers organization successful. He is not giving away a 6th round pick just so he can laugh and say "I told you so. Nananananana"

If he was they should fire him right now. He's a cancer to the franchise.
