What level of play do you think the CFL is to the NFL? Equal to 2nd stringer, end of the bench, practice squad - what?

Wild guess off the top.. about 5 percent of the roster makeups would consistently make an NFL team and a handful may start.

Most of the time it is NFL washouts going there.. but there are some of these small school guys (Justin Beaver types) and players that don't fit the NFL prototypes for positions, go up there and develop into very solid players.

With the World league failing and now the AFL falling on hard times.. the CFL talent level will increase, which means more of these kids will develop quicker with increased levels of competition.

Most of the players in the CFL I would rate them in between Special Teams - Practice squad players.

The Good Players in the CFL I would rate them backup-ish

The AMAZING in the CFL Players depending of course in which position are probably almost ready for starting on a NFL team (very rare)

* Let's not forget also CFL much slower then NFL and less agressive.

I think Ricky Ray is a pretty good example for the level of play in the CFL.

He's been great (Imo) for the Edmonton Fake-Packers, he came to the NFL for a year and never got of the bench for the Jets.

This kid looks pretty good though. They should pick him up, give him some time on special teams and maybe even rotate him into the starting line-up.

What everyone's forgetting though, is that Jenkins is a pretty good player aswell, he'll be back next year. This could be our new KGB though, as it seems now.
