I'm sure I'll get ripped, but I find it interesting that as the team continues to lose, more and more fans are pointing at Rodgers.

I'm not saying the kid's perfect or doesn't still have some things to learn -- he's obviously still a work in process. But seriously, just how many times is he supposed to drive the team down the field? If he drives them down to a score that puts the team up, aren't we supposed to look to our DEFENSE to keep that lead?

Now, I get that the D can't keep that end of the bargain this year, but I don't get how it then becomes Rodgers' fault if he can't do it yet again.

It's been discussed and proven that even the greatest don't pull that feat off very often (what was it, 12 come-from-behind @ the end of the game drives for Favre, who's known for exactly that?). So why the hate on Rodgers for not being able to do it like 3-4 times in his first season? Is this just frustration over a disappointing season, or are Packer fans as impatient as any other NFL fan?

I would agree... The Green Bay Packer fan of yesteryear, is no where to be seen these days. I have been as disappointed in the greatest fan base on the planet, as I have the team this year.

Excuse me but I am a Green Bay Packer fan of yesteryear.
I have been a Packer fan since 1956 when i saw my first Packer game in old City Stadium.
I've seen it all and what I'm seeng reminds me of the "bad old days".

It's come to the point that when the defense gives up the lead and the offense has to get it back to win the game, I have absolutely little confidence in Rodgers to get the job done. He tries to get it all on one play like Favre did and it never works. You just new that he was going to throw a pick against Jacksonville.

Yeah I called it too. We had two time outs right? It's idiotic. The whole team including the coaching has just been making rookie decisions across the board.

This is true. We can't just agree its the defense, even though it is. Rodgers has taken us down, and scored. Then he has to do it again, with like 40 seconds left?? Thats extremely hard because then the defense plays prevent. Thats where those picks came from. Rodgers is a good QB, and once our defense is improved I think we are NFC North champs again, for at least 4 years in a row.

Once again I don't think its people saying that Rodgers is to blame for the season. But I think its more to do with his struggles in late game situations is a little worrisome.

Did you honestly think when we got the ball yesterday in Jax, we had ANY chance at a comeback? He was wild and shaky. He needs to improve in that. I think that is all everyone is saying.

It's his first year, so its understandable but he's been in quite a few of these situations and is getting worse IMO than better.

I think that is all people are worried about, I don't think because you think he looks shaky in late game situations, you are blaming the season on him.

Hey guys i'm new to this forum so take it easy on me. While it's true that Rodgers seems to fail at the end of the game when it matters the most, isn't it still the coach's job to make the play calls? The offense is becoming increasingly predictable, I call the plays before they are run (which always makes my girlfriend laugh). And you know, i get a sneaking suspicion that if brandon jackson gets into the game, it's gonna be a screen. So you tell me, how is Rodgers supposed to hit a grand slam with under 2 minutes left in the game when McCarthy consistently tells him to hit singles? 3 and 15, gee, i think we should throw it to Lee 3 yards from scrimmage and hope he picks up the first down. Give me a break.

Last year, Ryan Grant vs Dallas-14 carries. FOURTEEN! 94 yards and two TDs. LOSS.
Ryan Grant vs Chicago-14 carries. 100 yards and a touchdown. LOSS. After rushing for 201 yards and 3 tds vs Seattle, 13 carries for Grant in the Loss to the Giants in the playoffs. Bad coaching? Yeah, i think so. I could go on and on but you get where i'm going with this.

I know this is his first year and all, but doesnt it seem like we play the best coverage teams in the world every week? Rodgers can't find a frickin open reciever! It's frustrating to see a guy with so much talent struggle and succeed at the same time. Sorry. Rant, over.
