Who can guess?

==================================================================

i know i wouldn't what a 38 year old to start in front of jackson despite his inexperience

i honestly think at his age he wouldn't start on any team other than the packers right now

That's a tricky question, honestly. lol

For one game? I take Favre, 154% of the time.

For anything more than a season, Jackson. All the time.

The question is, how long would they be starting for?

what is it with you , are you not capable of telling the full story when talking about someone ? here's my reply i left for you just incase you missed it ........i doubt it will make any sense to anyone that doesn't know the whole story , so sorry for bringing it on here , but this fool needs to be told

wow ..........i'd never have thought it , a viking fan that hated favre while he was a packer player ............i made no secert of it then , and i'm making no secert of it now , favre was a thorn in our side, more than any other player in the league , since the day i started following the vikings anyway , why not pull up the 100's of post of mine showing how much i wanted us to sign him when he became available even though i knew there was zero chance of that happening, i think it would be safe to say NO ONE wanted him more, damn i think i argued more with viking fans that didn't want him, than i've ever argued with you guys on any one subject, and I've just thought that must have taken you hours to find ..............do like i do in future save post that could come in handy at a later date once you see them ............LOL

No one wanted Favre more than Mars. No one still wants Favre more than Mars. He's Marstco09 here. Trust me, this I know. He is an official Brett Favre crotch-sniffer, joined CSA (crotch-sniffers anonymous) over at P.P.O., defends him at least as tenaciosly as any Ted Thompson hating Brett Favre loving Packer fan ever could hope to.

Ask Formo , he'll tell ya. Mars ain't right in the head on this whole subject.

:thumbleft:

Correct me if I'm wrong Formo, but I think he also hated Brett when he was a Packer, and this I totally understand. I have a long list of folks that are and were Vikings that I hate. This is definitely a compliment to them. There is no reason to hate on an opponent player if he sucks, except maybe JA (just kidding on that last one).

Generalizing Vikings fans into one group is just as big a mistake as what many do over at PPO, many still assuming that we are all CSA members and Favre apologists.

I don't think he HATED Brett the player, but definitely hated Brett the Packer. But, yes.. Mars lobbied for the Favre-to-the-Vikings move more than anyone else on PP.O. I wouldn't have been mad at it, myself. lol

So everyone's on a Vikings forum around here?... Seems kinda suspicious Foster.

Anyway, I'm wondering about what you said, though, Formo.

Your post was made before this weeks game (Week 15), Jackson's rating was horrible and he had thrown for 2 TDs, 1 Int and a 50% Completion rate, after having two season, both under 71 QB rating.

Why would you rather have Jackson, even if Favre would've retired after 2 years? Just because of the ass-whooping in the last couple of years, or do you see some potential in him?

Who's to say Favre ISN'T gonna retire after 2 years. It's a circus with him, you Pack fans all know this too well. I don't want that with my favorite team.

As far as Jackson, the first two games with him the playcalling threw him under the bus. Just look at the last two games he's played versus the first two. The playcalling has GREATLY improved. Honestly, I think the verdict with T-Jack is still out, but most likely will end up with him being a mediocre QB. Don't forget, though, the Vikings have a rookie QB, John David Booty. I'd like to see him sit for another year, at least. Let Jackson roll next season as starter, as long as he's somewhat efficient. Otherwise throw Gus back in.

The Vikings have a long history of getting old washed up QB's who are past their prime and trying to extract the last remnants of talent they have left in their beaten bodies.

Farve would be no different so in that respect he might be a perfect fit for the Vikings. Personally I would like Brett to play anywhere but in Minnesota.

As to whether the Jackson experiment will work out:

That is tied to the childress experiment and whether it will ever pan out. I don't have a great deal of faith in their ability to develop talent at this time but I have two more games to be proven wrong.

Until recently they seemed lost in trying to figure out how to use the talent they have amassed, but maybe they are finally getting it down.
