Vic asks some good questions

Are the Packers fans tired of winning? Because winning doesn't seem to make them very happy anymore.

Currently 1st in the NFC, and lots of complaining.

"Ask Vic" will publish on M-W-F through the football season.Eric from Hudson, WIGreen Bay is handing out huge contracts to Ted's guys and drafting poorly now. Would you give that kind of extension to an almost 30-year-old tackle who's starting to show some wear? The writing is on the wall. I'm concerned. The year-by-year breakdown of how the deal is capped isn't fully known yet, since it was a weekend event. I'll know by Wednesday and I'll comment on the structure then. At first [...]

Tired of winning? No, kind of spoiled as I see it.
The Packers should have won more Super Bowls. Sometimes it was the team messing up, sometimes refs messing up.

I love seeing “my” team win, and never will get tired of it.
I think some of the younger fans think that winning anything short of a super bowl isn’t enough. We have had 2 great QBs, and are used to winning.
Me, I lived through the 70s and 80s and realize winning isn’t so automatic. So I’m enjoying the winning while we still have it.

I think Packers fans recognize the way the team is not winning will not suffice in the playoffs. And I think when fans see the same mistakes happening in each game, they probably think "I'm just a fan and I see this, why can't the coaches see this and correct it?". Which I think that line of thinking underestimates just how hard the game of football truly is. And I think because we've been fortunate to have such a long string of regular season success that we feel it is not difficult.

I also think we have as a society grown impatient. If we plant a seed, we expect to turn around in 30 seconds and see a plant or flower.

This is a red herring.

I think all Packer fans want a team and coaching staff which is able to meaningfully compete for a Super Bowl. That means not just getting to the playoffs, it means having a legitimate shot.

I think we would rather be a wild card team with the capability to stay on the field with anyone versus a soft division winning team.

Of course we want to win, but we want to think we can win it all.

I am happy as a fan. Got to enjoy every game with two HOF QBs back to back.

Can't control how any other fans feel.

I am not tired of winning and recognize it is hard to be the best team. I just find it hard not to feel we should have a few more Super Bowl titles in the Favre & Rodgers era. I have a friend who is a Lions fan and one who is a Browns fan. I recognize how lucky I am for the past almost 3 decades.

Martha Careful (25-Jun) : I would have otherwise admirably served
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Also, no more provision for a write-in candidate, so Martha is off the table at least for this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : You do have to interpret the boring fine print, but all stockholders all see he is on the ballot
dfosterf (25-Jun) : It also says he is subject to another ballot in 2028. I recall nothing of this nature with Murphy

dfosterf (25-Jun) : Because I was too lazy to change my address, I haven't voted fot years until this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.
Zero2Cool (25-Jun) : Maybe wicked wind chill made it worse?
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : And then he signs with Cleveland in the offseason
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : @SharpFootball WR Diontae Johnson just admitted he refused to enter a game in 41° weather last year in Baltimore because he felt “ice cold”

Mucky Tundra (20-Jun) : GB-Minnesota 2004 Wild Card game popped up on my YouTube page....UGH
beast (20-Jun) : Hmm 🤔 re-signing Walker before Tom? Sounds highly questionable to me.
