Brian is still kind of green in the General Manager role, so I've decided to provide another cheat sheet for him.

Zero2Cool
• OT Yosh Nijman
• OG Alex Light
• WR Reggie Begelton
• RB Dexter Williams
• Beast
• OT Rick Wagner
• OC Lucas Patrick
• WR Jake Kumerow
• CB Stanford Samuels III
• Thoughts/Questions
• Zero2Cool, did OT Rick Wagner get traded or released in your cheat sheet for Gutekunst?
• I think they very well could keep a backup OT (which Light has been working as the 2nd team LT) over either IOL Lucas Patrick or Jake Hanson.
• I just think having both Patrick and Hanson would help losing Linsley in FA next off-season, where none of these bubble guys would help if they lose Bak (could Veldheer be signed after they cut to 53?)

Also maybe they surprise and only go with 8 OL if they really want RB Dexter Williams or FB John Lovettt.

• WR Jake Kumerow is a guy to they could release, but I think he's currently in the lead of the bubble WRs, as there have been almost no sustained hype of what the other WRs were doing. Reggie Begelton got early hype, but sounds like it didn't transfer to the field. WR Malik Taylor has flashed here and there. Then recently Darrius Shepherd.

• But if they do release Kumerow, I'm currently thinking more 5 WRs and keeping RB Dexter Williams or FB John Lovettt.

I think almost all NFL teams are normally keeping 6 CBs unless they're horrible, which you might make a case for, but I think they'll keep 6, if nothing else, they can sign Tramon Williams or Prince Amukamara, which will be better than our 6th guy, or just go look for another STer.
Jake Kumerow
I think without the preseason, the end of the line is 2020 for Jake Kumerow. I kind of went with someone I thought could provide more upside (Reggie Begelton) and might contribute on special teams coverage.

Rick Wagner
The emergence of Lane Taylor has me thinking he's gonna be locked in at G and they are going to kick Billy Turner to RT and with the plethora of TE's we have, he'll get "chip help" from a TE. I think releasing Wagner saves us money and I would consider him a candidate to be re-signed after Week 1 to avoid the full salary. If that's how that even works, which I could be wrong.

Alex Light
I feel Light filled in at T at some point and surprised us.

Stanford Samuels III
I'm not familiar with him. I actually haven't heard anything about him. I also (for some reason) feel Will Redmond can kind of CB/S.

Looks like releasing or trading Wagner seems to lose cap space over two years according to spotrac (yes you can gain some cap this year, but you lose more than you gained next year)

All in all pretty decent list. I have a hard time imagining Begelton making the team. I guess I don't have enough respect for the CFL. I went for Malik Turner as my wild card. But I guess it's all about the same.

As you note Deguara is a TE so why stick him in as a FB? Pick a lane.

I like you picking Nijman. I came close to doing so too. Just not enough information for me.

Like Beast points out, Wagner dude.

My guess is he is going to be lined up in a variety of places over the course of the season thus a TE.

In the long run if this is the biggest argument we have it's not much to worry about.

Vikings want to restructure Riley Reiff contract. Riley Reiff telling teammates he's potentially going to be cut. He doesn't want to restructure so this next comment is probably without any merit. Maybe he gets cut, maybe the Packers sign him for a one year friendly deal? Then they get rid of Rick Wagner (which Mike Clemmons just said there's rumors it may happen ... I'm thinking he just read my 53 projection to be honest).

If they were willing to make that downgrade, they should of done it last year to save $10 million.

I mean I think they need to get some more cap space, and Reiff is the clearest contact to do it, but they both could be screwing each other if they can't get an agreement completed. And so they traded a 2nd and 5th round pick to get a DE just so they had to lose their starting LT to pay for everyone.

Against the Vikings put in Clark, Gary and the Smith Bros and tell them to go wreck that sh!t! They might live in the backfield.

Martha Careful (22-Jan) : you were blocked yesterday, due to a a recalcitrant demeanor yesterday in the penalty box for a recalcitrant demeanor
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious
beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
beast (21-Jan) : You can't assume Ohio State would of won the Michigan game...
beast (21-Jan) : Rankings were 1) Oregon 2) Georgia 3) Texas 4) Penn State 5) Notre Dame 6) Ohio State, none of the rest mattered
wpr (21-Jan) : Texas, ND and OSU would have been fighting for the final 2 slots.
wpr (21-Jan) : Oregon and Georgia were locks. Without the luxury of extra playoff berths, Ohios St would have been more focused on Michigan game.
wpr (21-Jan) : Zero, no. If there were only 4 teams Ohio State would have been one of them. Boise St and ASU would not have been selected.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : So that was 7 vs 8, that means in BCS they never would made it?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : A great game. Give ND credit for coming back, although I am please with the outcome.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : FG to make it academic
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : and there's the dagger
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooo 8 point game with 4 minutes to go!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooooooohhhhhh he missed!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Ooooo that completion makes things VERY interesting
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Game not over yet
beast (21-Jan) : Oh yeah, Georgia starting quarterback season ending elbow injury
beast (21-Jan) : Sadly something happened to Georgia... they should be playing in this game against Ohio State
beast (21-Jan) : I thought Ohio State and Texas were both better than Notre Dame & Penn State
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame getting rolled
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : Ohio State just got punched in the gut. Lets see how they respond
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame vs the Luckeyes, bleh
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Oh snap!!!
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : Even Stevie Wonder can see that.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : Nah, you see Lions OC leaving to be HC of Bears is directly related to Packers.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ohhhhhhh Zero is in TROUBLE
packerfanoutwest (21-Jan) : Zero, per your orders, check Bearshome, not packershome
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : Then he'll land with another team and flourish.
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : Ben going to Bears. He'll be out in 3 years.
