he's not a free agent until after next season, so i don't know if other teams will "drive up the price" on him. unless you mean that he's waiting for other FA WR's to sign and use those contracts as leverage/jumping off point in his (Jennings) negotiations.

That or become a larger distraction and apply more leverage by trying to hold out on the principle of being underpaid..

Add to that fact that Ted is becoming a bit like Millen in drafting a WR early each draft.. would he dare draft another one with this strong receiving group coming out this year.

Jennings seems like a team first guy, so I think his intentions might be truly noble.. and he didn't want to distraction of signing a contract mid year.. but today's athlete has me jaded..

I think back to Walker's days early, his charity work and carried himself with a sort of class... until the dollars got involved.. light switch flipped..

Just saying.. Jennings doesn't seem that way other than his NFLN appearances where he seems a little more "cocky" in a way.

I am a bit worried too. concerned that we'll lose him. and i too have been jaded by the likes of Javon Walker. but the realist in me points to the fact that Jennings is basically the Anti-Javon.......

I had "complete" faith in him until I heard him on his playbook segments.. he had an attitude on a couple of those.. talking down on other players and teams... kind threw up a caution flag of some sort.. maybe an orange one.. not red but some homeland color of mildness. :lol:

But I hope that was just that fading bleeding through.. 😉
