We haven’t had a decent LB since Ray Nitschke.

Just kidding!🤪

Martinez is much better than Hawk was. The numbers alone say it.

He also will straight up be there for a tackle. He doesn't wait until the receiver is past the first down marker as often.

Seems like whenever he eats blocks, there’s nobody behind him to fill the hole, resulting in big runs up the middle. That’s not really his fault I don’t think.

He struggles in coverage but he’s a good communicator and leader. And he’s there every week. I think we need to re sign him and draft/sign another quality ILB to go beside him.

So, I got my microscope out to read the chart.
It appears to me that Martinez is our fifth most efficient tackler.
That ain't bad in my mind.

dfosterf (25-Jun) : Because I was too lazy to change my address, I haven't voted fot years until this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.
