The trade details are in (sorta)
The Packers agreed to a conditional swap of draft picks in the 7th round of the 2020 NFL Draft, offering up the 7th-rounder that they acquired from the Baltimore Ravens last year in exchange for Ty Montgomery.

These clearly aren't all the details, and I'm going off on an assumption here, but if the Ravens finish with a worse record than the Giants, the Giants and Packers then swap 7th round picks (Ravens 7th for the Packers) with the Giants getting the higher one.
But my question is, what happens if the Giants finish off with a worse record than the Ravens? Did we just get this LB for free?/ or the cost of cutting Crawford?
It's my understanding that the Packers did the same thing (but opposite end of the player swap) with their 7th in trading away OL McCray to the Browns, if the Browns finish with a worse record the Packers and Brown's swap 7th round picks with the Packers getting the higher one.
But if the Browns have the better record, do they just get McCray for free?
SO, are these trades? Or are these bets? IF... IF I'm understanding this correctly, these seem like bets to me!If my understanding is correct (which I'm not saying it is, then) Gute is betting the Packers will finish above the Browns and get their 7th moved up a bit, and that the Ravens will finish above the Giants and we'll get the new LB for free.
That, or there is more to this, like the conditional 7ths could move up to a 6th, but that's never mentioned and should be mentioned if those are in play.
