Anyone hear about this thing with Josh Jones yesterday? Tackled the RB during a non-tackle period.

I heard he was looking out for one of the other defensive players. If so, he was backing up a team mate. If not, he was being a malcontent.

Seems to have been a malcontent in the past, not just that he cried and wanted to be traded during OTAs, but also in that they were starting Brice over him last year.

I think the dude can play, if the light goes on for him.

Tra Carson knocked Tony Brown down in a "thud" drill. Josh Jones didn't like it so he knocked Carson to the ground. Jones was wrong, but as others have said (in articles I've read and Twitter), sticking up for your teammates is a good thing, although, ya gotta understand the other guy is ALSO a teammate.

Pettine had zero tollerance rule when it comes to fighting.

He benched Jones for the rest of practice.

I guess he considered what Jones did was fighting, or was going to lead to a fight.

Hopefully Jones realizes that the better he shows on camp, the easier it will be to trade him, or he comes to his senses and devides he wants to stay.

If he could develop into something even half way decent and a few of the other young guys and Savage and Alexander can excel along with Amos we could have a very strong, very deep secondary

At this point I don't have any faith that Jones is going to all of a sudden going to amount to anything useful to the Green Bay Packers.
I believe that he will be cut at the end of training camp, he might make it to the end of pre season but he will not make the 53.

Yooper Fan,

You may very well be right. I hope not.

We have to remember, these kids are....well...kids. They have getting their balls rubbed most of their lives and don't know to react when they are not getting all the accolades.

As Nerd, and others have pointed out, he has great physical skills. I am hoping he hit bottom psychologically and has re-committed himself. I hope it is seashells and balloons from here.
