After watching the packers this year and watching them go 13-3 last year with most of the same players from last year. Was it just a fluke last year that we played so good with a very young team or were we playing over our heads last year. This year it's getting flagged for mistakes that a good team does not do, our special teams are not good and our defense it is able to stop anyone.

Idk about it being a fluke.

Last year, we won all of those close games (14 - 17 Skins, 19 - 13 Broncos, 13 - 16 Phillidelphia) and now we're losing all of them. (Atl, Car, Min)

I think veteran leadership might have something to do with those penalties. If you look at it, alot of our penaltys come from our offense. Now I do think people like Tauscher and Clifton shouldn't get all these pentalties, but not having Nr. 4 anymore might hurt us there.

Not a fluke. People seem to think we're so bad but don't realise that there was about 3-4 games it was lost by 4 pts. I mean we could of won titans vikings by field goald ... that would of put us 7-5 now ... Panthers and Falcons we're winnable too. I mean this team could of easily been 9-3 right now.

But assuming in experienc by rodgers and how the defense kept chocking on crucial moments we are unfortunently 5-7.

Watch out for this team next year !!!

I feel it's adjustment, o-line for A-rod in these games though think they adjusted fine,d-line it's stopping the run that is hurting us,don't understand special teams can't afford to give up so much yardage.I do like where our team is headed noticed 2 games where there were not allot of penalties.

The difference between this year and last year. When a certain position had a bad game. Meaning offense, defense, special teams. The others picked up the slack and won the game. If you remember the first game against the eagles we didn't score an offensive touchdown. We got a special teams touchdown and the rest were field goals by crosby. If you remember the skins game. We had no offense that game. But the defense carried the team to a victory. Woodson had an interception and picked up 1 of the 3 forced fumbles and returned it for a touchdown. Kampman beasted it with 8 tackles and 2 sacks. Then the defense sealed the game by stopping a 4th and 1. So i don't think i would really call it a fluke.

I recall during the '06 season we lost a few games because the ball simply didn't bounce our way. Last year, we had the ball bounce our way a large portion of the time and we capitalized on it.

This season the ball is not bouncing our way and we are injured in a lot of areas. Also, Crosby won a game for us last year, he lost one for us this year. (not LITERALLY, but if he makes that kick, we win)

I think last year we were an 11 win team, realistically speaking. I think we got lucky on two of them. Does that matter? Hell no, a win is a WIN! That's all that matters. This year we are not getting the lucky calls, or healthy roster, or lucky bounces. We're getting injured everywhere, getting slammed on non sense calls, some of them phantom, missing FG's, and were just not manning up.

This year our team looks like it just doesn't have much heart with the exception of Rodgers, Kampman, Driver, Woodson and Collins. I haven't seen any of them just walking around like 'blah' as I have every other player at one time during a game. It's sickening.

In some ways is was a fluke. We got the bounces last year, this year we haven't. That is all it takes to make or break a year.

Good question. I didn't think they were a fluke last year, but lately I've been wondering more and more if they were. One thing's for sure: The Packers are a good example of the fine line that separates the good teams from the bad teams in the NFL nowadays. Unless they somehow salvage this season, we'll have to wait till next year to find out if '07 was a fluke. It will be two out of three on either one side or the other.

The main difference between last year and this year is BF. Injuries and how the ball bounces doesn't account for 4 more losses with 4 games left to play.

Yeah, because Rodgers' play has been so much worse than Brett Favre's.

We're actually scoring more points this year per game than last year (27.8 to 27.2) while the defense is giving up significantly more per game (24.6 to 18.2). Last I checked Favre isn't a cornerback. He's not the one making that difference on defense. Also, Rodgers has 24 total tds at this point (20 passing and 4 rushing) which means he needs to get 4 more to match Favre's total last year and actually has two more at this point than Favre did last year at the same point. Rodgers' 13 turnovers (10 picks and 3 lost fumbles) is identical to what Favre had at this point last year, and Favre would throw 5 more interceptions over the last four games. So there is a decent chance Rodgers matches or exceeds Favre in scoring and has fewer turnovers compared to last year. So remind me again, how exactly is Rodgers' presence in place of Favre the reason we're struggling so mightily?
