Yeah, I listened to it. It's EXACTLY what I would expect him to day.

Would I would NOT expect him to say is, "Yeah, I want to be top dog!." This would indicate that he would ditch the team that just hired him at the first opportunity, and also it would indicate that he might try to make a power play against Mike McCarthy, the guy who just hired him.

Either way, I hope he stays. I think they're gonna bring in Josh McDaniels. That would only be possible if the move was upwards, as he is already a coordinator, so they'd have to offer him top dog status.

If the Rooney Rule is in place, they should interview my man Edgar Bennett. Dude knows first hand what's going down with this team, because Mike just scapegoated him last year. I also would like them to interview Holmgren. No way Holmgren takes any kind of shit from Aaron Rodgers.

If you listened to the press conference, what part about him not liking being detached from the players, and missing out on the teaching aspect which is what he loves the most did not resonate with you?

Why do we love Mike Pettine anyway? Are we happy with the performance of the defense suddenly? I remember hearing many of you whining about "I thought we got rid of Dom" and now it's lets make Pettine the HC? Or hope Pettine stays as DC under new HC?

If this team had an offensive coordinator that called plays I think Mike would be strongly considering replacing him but he seems to have no intention of replacing himself as the offensive guy it just comes off to me as he doesn't really care that much about being head coach and really just wants to coach an offense. If we brought in a legit offensive coordinator and a new offense I'd be ok with McCarthy staying as Head Coach even though he's been pretty crap at situational decisions the last few seasons but he's apparently blind to the fact that his OC + his QB aren't working well anymore and he doesn't have a fix for it.

When it comes down to someone having to go between HOF QB and an OC it's an easy decision. Though none of this even accounts for the fact that if anything in the article can be believed then McCarthy is losing the locker room as well not just AR.

Meanwhile, a coach would still be here for another decade, if he got it done.

Not saying to keep Mike, but if it came down to the two of them and I had to decide? You cannot keep a guy in your organization who is insubordinate. That's how you get players going rogue. Like Ty Montgomery. That's how you lose a locker room.
