Davante had 21 targets last week, but he dropped quite a few of them. Cobb continues to drop quite a few as well. RR too.
Thing is, Aaron is also missing guys quite a bit.
Maybe this injury deal isn't just an excuse. It just seems to me that there are more drops than usual. And Aaron's mechanics and fundamentals are way off.
HYPOTHESIS: The ball is coming out differently than it usually does. I use to play catcher in high school baseball. There are different ways to throw a ball that makes it come at you quite differently. It's something you really need to get used to.
Maybe the ball is coming at them suddenly, or much more slowly than usual. If so, then as Aaron heals up, things should start to flow more smoothly again. Or at least as smoothly as normal.
Still, if Aaron can't get it done he shouldn't be out there. I'd rather him miss two big games and get his shoulder right than have him keep playing, we lose those games anyway and the shoulder keeps getting banged up and not healed.
We've got Tolzien, let's see what he can do. He actually knows the offense now. And IMHO he's no Graham Harrell.
