Mike McCarthy the HEAD COACH. While he may be more involved in the offense than the D or ST, it is his responsibility to make sure that this team is running on all cylinders. Maybe he should focus less on our offense and more on our defense, a defense that has given up an average of 43 points over the last two games.

But from reports (IE McCarthy's words at his press conferences) the team has been having "excellent" practices with "great tempo and intensity."

Look MT, I share your disappointment, and for the first time this season (or during MM tenure, really) I've thought his calls in the game were questionable.

At the end of the day though, McCarthy is a man with a new wife, a new family, a new daughter... to expect him to do more with the other facets of the team is a tad unrealistic IMO. Sure he could go away from the O to focus more on the other three facets, but I doubt that'll do loads of good.

McCarthy is an offensive guy, a QB groomer. Not a pass rusher groomer, or a Defense / pressure specialist.

Honestly, I wanted McCarthy to go for it. I was hoping that he'd just have A-Rod plunge it in, half yard out it should have been simple for Rodgers.

My thoughts exactly. I knew that when that FG was kicked, the game was over.

I don't have a problem with taking the sure three.

But for the first time I'll question MM's playcalling.

IMO, with the ball on the half yard line, call a QB sneak. It's worked extremely well this year.

That wasn't an option. Every team knows that McCarthy loves the QB Sneak at the goal line, so Carolina stacked like ten fatasses at the box. Sorry, but an undersized defensive line has no chance against that.

I would've preferred Rodgers to call an audible and flick/shovel it to Jackson.

I agree. That or a FB dive. Jackson's not a powerback and I think Mike McCarthy put him in a position to fail with those playcalls with back up linemen in.

If I'm not mistaken, they did in fact try a fullback dive with Kuhn...

MM is a terrible play callers and im tired of his ultra-consertive crap when it matters.. when the pack are on their own goal line he decides to throw a 50 yard pass, but when hes on the goaline he goes for the field goal with there is only 2 min left in the game

i call that ridiculous
brandon jackson is amazing

Should have gone for it on 4th. Mike McCarthy is going to hear it Monday for that call.

Also why didnt Grant play at all in the 2nd half? Was his injury serious at all cause he looked fine on the sidelines the whole 2nd half. I have been pushing more for BJax to get some carries but for Grant not to get any was horrendus.

Anyone calling for MM's head doesn't understand the game of football and the NFL. I have explained this elsewhere, if anyone wishes to rejoin the argument expos-facto after this loss, I will be happy to do so. If not, then kindly explain at length about how bad a coach he truly is, in your opinion...failing that, well, kindly S##t The F### up....again, in my humble opinion.

Who exactly are you talking to? If you're talking to me....then you read my post totally wrong. I don't think we should fire McCarthy, he's one of the best coaches in the league....he just needs some coaching on play calling himself. Or at least he has the past few weeks.

I'm sorry that you haters don't like me calling you on it, especially when so much ammo is available for you... but it is a tough-titty kind of situation, and we all will just have to live w/it. As far as my original responder goes, NO- I was not calling you out... I gloss over most of these posts, but at the same time, you piqued my curiosity, and if the shoe fits, wear it, I always say.

Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Yes, and that is why I think Rob worded it how he did. Rather than say "agent"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Same laws apply. Agent must present such an offer to Jaire. Cannot accept or reject without presenting it
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : I'm thinking that is why Rob worded it how he did.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The Packers can certainly still make the offer to the agent
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Laws of agency and definition of fiduciary responsibility
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Jaire is open to a reduced contract without Jaire's permission
