1. This guy sucks.
2. We have been obscenely healthy this year. Who would have guessed the healthy year we have been waiting for for years would happen when we don't have enough talent on the team (players/HC) to take advantage of it.

So one of the following is happening

They think Kumerow kinda sucks and less helpful than Davis (which seems doubtful considering Rodgers seemed to be his biggest fan) Kumerow had a major medical setback as initial reports suggested he should be ready to go for week 1 (which also seems kinda doubtful, but it's possible) Something fishy/strange is going on[/list]I'm starting to think Gute is starting to use this year mainly as a rebuilding year and he wants the draft picks to develop their potential by getting more playing time... not bring Kumerow backs gives the rookies more snaps... cutting Whitehead gives Josh Jones and Oren Burks more snaps... and trading Haha away also got Jones more chances at reps and if Gute knew Tramon Williams would move to FS, that means more reps for CB Josh Jackson. Trading Monty away gave Jones/Williams slight more reps.
Basically all the non-ST draft picks from the last two years (with the exception of DT Adams) might be benefiting from a Gute move or non-move...
Normally we're seeing young guys get more playtime due to injuries... and it's starting to seem like we're seeing young guys get more playtime to do GM actions....
I admit, this is an EXTREMELY small sample... I don't know enough on the not bringing back Kumerow move... and there surely isn't enough to prove anything here... but I think it's an interesting and plausible theory that Gute is trying to develop the young guys by getting them more reps.
At least something to keep an eye on.
