I was speaking about our pass rush would be much more improved, if for no other reason we would have better rotation. Having Pickett and / or Harrell in at DT in 3rd and longs isn't getting us anywhere.
I stand by my original point. I am confident our pass rush would be better with Williams. Would he be worth the money? Perhaps not. But very few players actually are. If a player contributes relatively consistently, I have no problem paying them for their services, unless we're in cap trouble.
If we only sign players who are worth every dollar they get, we aren't going to have many good players stick around for very long. For better or worse, it's just how the nfl is presently.
