That doesn't even sound remotely close to anything Aaron Rodgers would say. He's insanely passive aggressive with his snide comments. He would have said something more like "glad they talked to me first" or something on those lines. He wouldn't (in my opinion) outright call them bastards, it's just not how he's been the last 10 plus years.

Alex CHOSE to not re-sign an extension the season prior BECAUSE Alex wanted opportunities to be an Offensive Coordinator. You're telling me Alex didn't tell Aaron this? You're telling me Aaron wasn't cognizant of this? No, he knew. This is a subtle "in the know" jab to someone (probably Mike McCarthy for refusing to let his staff interview for advancements while under contract). I don't think the comment was about not talking to Aaron. I think the comment was "Mike, if you weren't such a dick head about your staff interviewing while under contract, maybe my QB coach would still be here while he waited for a job advancement elsewhere".

I heard that Nelson was offered a pay cut, and turned it down
That was on the local sports radio show.
So if true, then you can’t blame the Packers for cutting him. And Rodgers can’t blame the Packers either.

It’s hard for me to even THINK that a two million dollar offer would be a scape goat offer.
Two million, at the end of your career, to PLAY A GAME.
He is NOT in his prime anymore. He has lost a step, and I doubt he would even be a starter here anymore.
He’s been here 10 years, already made more money then I could even DREAM of having, is set for life.
I love the guy and what he did here, but the Packers can no longer pay him top dollars if they don’t think it will pay off for the TEAM.

Releasing Jordy kind of reminds me of the old baseball axiom. It's better to trade a player a year early than a year too late. If Branch Rickey didn't said it he sure lived it. NFL doesn't trade all that often, they just release the players.

Donald Driver took less to stay a Packer. Then retired.
I guess it shows what your priorities are.
And 2 million vs. A POSSIBLE 5 million. If Jordy wants the money more then to play here anymore, he can choose that.
Just like the Packers can choose to say NO.
It’s a two way street.
Rodgers has shown he can get “chemistry” with more then one guy, and will find a way to do so without Nelson.

When Rodgers played, Nelson was among the Packers top 2 WRs...

So the scenario for the two is very different is completely different.
