I read this long time ago and wanted to do it for my daughters, but spaced it out. I thought it would be neat to get them a bottle of alcohol of the year they were born. I say bottle of alcohol because when it comes to liquor, I am astonishingly ignorant. You see, I am not a drinker, at all. I've drank, and still do, but I just drink whatever is given to me (provided I am not driving) and go my merry way.

So, my question to you is what would be the best bottle to get? I was thinking it'd be neat to give it to the daughter on say 25th birthday and share a drink?

I'd need bottles of 1996, 2001, 2003 and 2013.

Suggestions? Thoughts?

Good Wine is labeled with it's vintage year and if properly stored gets better with age. I would recommend a French Chardonnay or Burgundy myself.

Hard Liquors like Scotch and Bourbon are often aged in their barrels for up to 7 and even 12 years before it is bottled. You could talk to a professional bartender or salesman for more in depth information.
