Richard Sherman was one of the best zone corners... who looked amazing because he plays smart, physical and because he had one of the best FS in NFL history playing behind him backing him up and erasing mistakes.

As for the Packers defensive coordinator Mike Pettine, he's usually been in and used a man coverage based system, which Sherman could play in, but I don't think he's maximize his physical skill set... and might have let WRs attack his weaknesses more (though they could adjust the system some).

Yes, Woodson and Sanders and others "were" great in their time. Richard Sherman may have already given his best CB efforts and is looking to make a final payday. GB should be very careful regarding him.

To me it is hard to judge Sherman because he played with arguably one of the best Safety tandems in the NFL. Unfortunately any team he goes to will not have that type of help backing him up.

I would pass on this one. He would be worth it at the right price, but some other team with much more cap space will over pay him.

I would also agree in terms of ability, big plays, and versatility. None better. Deon was the best pure cover corner ever, but ask him to lay the wood in the box? NAH. Woodson could do it all!
