Five players new Green Bay Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst should target in free agency. During his tenure as general manager, Ted Thompson wasn't one to look at free agency to improve the Green Bay Packers. Instead, he used the ill-fated "draft-and-develop' philosophy. Many times, it would prove costly, as the inexperience would cost the

Kyle Fuller and Jimmy Graham seem reasonable. Not a big fan of Johnson, and Aldon Smith just doesn't have his head on right.

If were gonna sign anybody who might be crazy, I'd go Josh Gordon. I know we have a lot invested in WR, but there are plenty of talented WR's that might be able in free agency that are still all very young. Gordon being one of them, and guys like Allen Robinson being another who could be damaged goods.

Norwell won’t be that expensive to sign, either. His $2.7 million price tag in 2017 will surely go up, but not by much. He is one of the most underrated offensive linemen in the league.

I wonder what this is based on.

He's a first team All-Pro, so he's far from underrated. Positional value is rather low and media coverage usually doesn't focus on guards, but that's true for every single guard in the game.

Which didn't stop a guy like Zeitler from getting $60 million over 5 years from the Browns last year.

I wouldn't be surpsised if his pricetag would go up by nearly $10 million a year.

It's kind of interesting. Do you try and sign a player of need or do you wait till the draft and see if you can fill the position with a young and cheaper player? While acquiring FAs before draft day means you can focus elsewhere in the draft.

None of the five suggestions that Kyle gives us are players I really really have to have. Provided that Evans returns. If not then they need Norwell.

If they go after Aldon Smith it won't be a huge upgrade. It's been a few years since he has put up big numbers. I don't see the trend magically changing simply because he puts on the Green and Gold.

As in most seasons, I don't think the level of TE is very deep in the draft so it may make sense to go after Graham.

I am pretty apathetic about signing Fuller. I am more interested in landing Johnson but I am more than a little skeptical that they can.

My question is how many of these guys will resign with their current teams before FA starts?

Usually the guys that are left are either overpriced or have problems playing nice.😁

I was addicted to The Hokey Pokey, but I turned myself around!
