Are you sure? Because Gus Bradley said he was going to mainly play zone coverage (I don't see the article, but I know I read it, after he got hired) and he's very well known for running Cover Three Zone Defense as defensive coordinator (which sometimes looks like man coverage but it's not). Of course I'm sure he mixed in some man coverage but I thought that was manly as a change up to surprise and catch offenses off guard.
And Bradley seemed to be suggesting Hayward played press man coverage last year, while asking him to do now is different.
In the Cover Three ... the CBs play the verticals, making sure no one gets deeper than them on the outside third of the field... but in the Seahawks/Bradley system, they would often start with pressing the WRs before dropping... but the different is they don't follow a guy a guy on crossing routes... unless it's crossing into their zone.
