Z,

I wasn't referring to you rather those who couldn't wait in a rush to judgment to side with Bennett.

What I've said consistently on Twitter is we need to see whole video but very conveniently body cam video is NA at some of the main points of contention.

Ultimately, he wasn't truthful painting this with HIS bias. He agrees at end about why he was detained and shakes their hand. This calls into question everything he wrote in his statement. He was told why he was detained and it is completely reasonable to detain and pull gun in an active shooter situation. Nothing MB said happened is surprising outside of his obvious level of fear on the video. I don't doubt he was terrified but his personal fear isn't relevant. From what I saw and my personal experience in 6+ years in LE this is another situation of claimed racism where none existed.

If packer players and coaches want to make a sign of unity. You now have your chance. Next game if you want to join arms and take a knee during the anthem. Do it in honor for those injured and killed in Vegas
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

Has anyone else noticed all the fans "booing" when the players did their "protest"?
Also, in the Packer game last Thursday, when they fanned the crowd to show the fans to see how many "locked arms", I only saw about 6 people doing so. MANY more with their hands over their hearts.
This is pretty much how it's been all around the country. I guess they are all "racists".🤣

Seriously, I think this shows just how many people REALLY understand what's going on. The only thing that will change anything, is if people that are pulled over just do what the police tell them to do, and not try to make this into something it's not. Police have a hard enough job, without people feeling they are getting "dissed" anytime they get pulled over.

Vietnam POW Hal Kushner during his incarceration made statements that show he agrees at the end about why he was detained and metaphorically shakes the hands of his captures.

I doubt he was terrified. Kushner recordings didn't even show the level of fear Bennett showed. This jibes with the personal experience of a random Viet Kong guys that said they lived in Vietnam for 6 years and according to what they saw and their personal experiences, there was no mistreatment of POWs.

This calls into question everything the Nam POWs said about their treatment, must be them being racists. [Rolling eyes].

Now for some truth.

During a police stops most Blacks can focus on what a Georgia State cop said [cops only kill Black people] and the Black parental and Black societal training [how to survive an encounter with police] they received. And obviously after you've had a gun to your head and a cop says I'm fucking going to blow it off...and you can feel his adrenaline, anxiety and the determination in his voice; the key is to not be taken to jail where you can die; but to survive the encounter so you can do something about it.

Bennett was 100% aware that if these cops could foresee the future, they're gonna get nailed and they know it, he may have been taken to a jail and found to have hung himself or committed suicide with 6 shots to the back. The LVMPD is the most brutal and corrupt PD in America's major metros.

So the handshake having meaning and being the "last thing" was not honest argument. Ufda knows statements made under duress are not reliable. Ufda knows Bennett spoke to an attorney after he felt safe. A threat to sue during the encounter could have gotten him killed or hit with dozens of other charges after, EG drugs, were planted on him.

In 2003, Bennett’s attorney secured $11M for 119, that’s 119 plaintiffs against the Oakland PD. “The Riders” brutalized suspects, planted evidence, filed false reports, etc. The Whistleblower was Keith Batt, a rookie fresh out of academy, who heroically did the work of a real cop. But, his fellow cops didn’t praise his sense of honor and justice; they ostracized, threatened and intimidated him [Resulting in a $625K emotional damage award].

Interestingly, in May, Officer Batt shot Shannon Edward Estill, guess what, he activated his body cam before the confrontation.

BTW, the Vegas cop that threatened Bennett had his on as well! They just not showing it and have tried to destroy the recording.

You want to understand cops; learn about the Riders, how supervisors reacted to complaints and how the supposed "majority of good cops" reacted when they learned of this stuff.

Again the LVMPD is gong pay HUGE dollars and they know it. Hopefully, they wont resist reforms that will be imposed on them for this.

The cams are mandated by insurance underwriters because every single major metro PD pays millions every year for brutality claims. Like everything new, the last thing one would think of when being dispatched to, EG, a shooting was to engage the cam.

Some agencies are lax; but several that I know of are really on this. If you had contact with public and no video, even if nothing happened, you'd get written up. Dispatchers will remind them when riding to the calls. Every meetings they'd mention the cams, when interacting. And just like if a cop forgot his vest, the partner will make sure its on before they arrive at scene, your partner willl make sure your camera is on. Any cop you bump into at the scene that notices will say something about the camera being off, because they dont want their brother to get written up.

If half the cams were off, we could chalk that up to the Dept being lax. But, 126 videos, they are not lax about reminding each other to turn on the cams and the dispatch tapes will undoubtedly show this.

Note: The cops learned the veracity claiming the cam malfunctioned can be determined; so they've learned the best story is forgetfulness. Undoubtedly the dispatch tapes will show the cams were mentioned several times.

Note: some have argued the cams should run all the time; but these guys/gals have go to have down time during the day that must remain private.

The USA today reported 2 days after incident that the Police had collected 861 videos, and I'm sure they have more by now. Of course, given the their idiotic, unusual and outrageous public stance it's actually a conflict of interest for them to continue investigating.

So, you actually do not know. You are assuming and pushing that out as fact.

If I were to similarly take your statement ["You are assuming and pushing out as fact"] out of context and state you are stating this as a fact, I'd be acting within the parameters of your logic. But, those are actually conclusions based on what you portend to assert as a misrepresentation my part.

Of course to run your little gambit, you had to pull one sentence out of context of all I stated on the subject and then you built your argument on that . This is called a strawman.

FACT IS I wrote stuff that you left out of your little gambit, to wit: "The LVMPD stated it has 126 dash and body cam videos of the alleged shooting and this is all they got that portends to show the appropriateness of their behavior? 126 videos! What is that 30-40+ cars and 80+ cops? All these cops activated 126 video cams to run…but oops the one guy, the one effing cop, that could prove Bennett’s a liar had his off. What an amazing coincidence, simply amazing. However, what does Malcolm Nance teach us? Answer: coincidences take an awful lot of planning [Emphasis added]."

Its quite clear to many, if not mostly all, the disappeared cam video was not being "pushing out" as any uncontrovertible fact; but a conclusion based on the circumstances.

And emotional? I dont think so, emotional argument is one that cannot be supported by facts, logic and reason. If one takes the uncontroverted listed facts, the unusual/squirrelly way the LVMPD is acting and apply the doctrine of Res ipsa loquitur; a jury could easily conclude the cam was intentionally left off or its contents concealed. My conclusion is based on fact, sound rational logic and legal principles.

And let's look at your little gambit here. You ask a simple question in a way that purports to look like you're seeking further understanding. I then take the time out of my life to elucidate this to you; because it is what a kind, open-minded, helpful, patriotic American does😂. But, you didn;t ask the question for understanding, did ya? You were plotting and scheming searching for a gotchya moment, weren't you 😂?

Since, you speak of honor, If I had such a circumstance here's how I'd honorably handle it: "Do I understand you correctly? The way I'm reading what you wrote, you seem to be stating the nonexistence of this video as a fact, do you have any inside info?"

And I think subjecting someone to criminal prosecution and incarcerating for purportedly misleading on a Packer Forum is not a position that can be supported with rationality and legal acumen...maybe its a tad emotional, just a tad😂. Oh and maybe you wont be so "tired of it," if you had respect for disagreement and really really tried to set aside the biases that we all have and WORK to see another's POV.

I think this underscores why the Anthem protests are so contentious. People are losing the ability to be civil in disagreement, which undermines a basic American tenant [A peaceful transition of power]. The Party's have to fight to the death, compromise is gone and their willing to break the law to "WIN." Black's are being brutalized by cops on the street, nothing is being done, so Protest comes. Rather than listening, compromising, trying to find areas of agreement, America is searching for ways to DEFEAT the protest instead of searching for a solution and trying to accommodate. America better wake-up before there is no America.
