Cobb and his 10 million are sticking around. The people's champion may still be cut. Could go with 4 WR's and just wait for Allison to rejoin in Week 2.

The WR group isn't really strong enough and we aren't hurting enough for cap space that it would make much sense to straight up cut Cobb over 6m savings this year. If Davis or Janis steps up this year though and shows they can play outside then it gets interesting because I see Jordy right now as a better slot WR than Cobb is and cutting Cobb next year would save 9m. It also depends on what they do with Adams, if they resign him Cobb or Jordy is likely gone next year.

Seattle released Ahtyba Rubin and Pierre Desir. Both are at positions of need for us. Wouldn't be surprising to see us claim either one or both.

Sounds like Datone Jones will be available. Led the team in QB hits last year.

I want to agree with this very much, BUT Datone did gain weight in an attempt to make it as a penetrating DT with the Vikings... does he still have his moment at the higher weight and how long would it take for him to drop it?

Though it was reported the Packers were looking for another DL and Datone has played on the Packers DL... so...

Barclay is miserable as a tackle but I'm ok with him being our interior back up guy. The big problem is he's not a guy with any athleticism to spare. He's been out a while with this injury and I'm doubtful a non 100% Barclay will be of much use no matter what position he plays at.
