In my opinion , GB's best and most valuable defensive player is Ha Ha Clinton-Dix .

Mike Daniels and/or Morgan Burnett , are in my opinion , almost as valuable . Clinton-Dix's speed, aggressiveness, physical abilities, and quick thinking make him an asset rushing a QB or tackling a RB or dropping back to defend a WR .

WHAT SAY YOU ?

Haha is incredibly overrated by our fan base. Incredibly. I'd say Daniels has to be the best on our D, which speaks volumes about how we desperately need a star to emerge on our D.

I really like the effort and on the field leadership that Daniels gives and I would likely give the nod to him.

Haha is getting there, I am hoping he doesn't have to spend this season bailing out the CBs as much as it appears he did last year. He may never be Nick Collins, but if he is 90% I can certainly live with that. We really have to get him under contract long term sooner rather than later.

Yes, M. Daniels is GB's best Defensive Lineman /Pass Rusher IMO. His value is not to be denied .
However, as for the "BIG" picture, Clinton-Dix is more versatile and (if injured (god forbid)) would be harder to replace . His Pro-Bowl quality talent has steadily developed over time and I expect him to make it to the Pro-Bowl again this year (provided that GB is not winning the SB !) .

Usually the bigger the body the harder it is to replace, after all the good lord only made so many 300 pound men who can still run a 5 second 40 yard dash.

Daniels, Perry, Mathews, Clinton-Dix and Burnett all have legit cases that could be made for them but I'd still take Daniels as the MVP. I might even take a healthy Perry over the rest of them while we're at. I trust our safety depth alot more than the rest of the positions on defense.

It's not Clay anymore, until he proves otherwise. Nick could be in the conversarion too. We shall see.

It depends on how you define best...

But Daniels and Haha were the top 2 in my mind currently...

Haha had a down year as he was trying to do too much to help the CAB which man him over aggressive last year, but two years ago he might of been the MVDP for the Packers.

But got to give the edge to Daniels.

As for Burnett, he's more veterans and has been more versatile, but he couldn't play FS well and Haha has done a better job, and Burnett not being more aggressive as a LB lead to Barbre coming off Burnett and nailing/injuring Matthews... so Burnett is very versatile but I don't think he's yet mastered other positions... he's a jack of all trades but only the king of one or two (SS/nickel CB).

Mike Daniels...and he's no superstar. If Ha Ha is our 2nd best, it's little wonder we're so terrible on defense.

Matthews is a very close 2nd, followed by Perry. Hopeful that Clark and Lowry can challenge Daniels but Josh Jones might be our best hope with his measurables and desire to destroy.

Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."

Mike Daniels. He's still underrated. He would be thought of more highly around the league if this team played him more on 3rd downs. The amount of pressure he gets while playing primarily 1st and 2nd down is crazy and I don't think some really appreciate what he does.

After him I'd go Perry then Haha
