Zero it was not just uffda. Apparently I misunderstood some of your "douche" comments too. It just shows that it is easy for people to not communicate effectively on any message board. I know I have had to explain my thoughts on more than one occasion because I was not making myself clear.

My point is that we assume everyone knows what we mean when they read our comments. That will never be the case.

Not. If you want to use this as a reason to ban me you surely can but it's true.

If me telling the truth gets me banned again then that's just how it is. You've called me a DOUCHE on more than one occasion and used the f word and the a word toward me in shout just recently that was later wiped clean.

People know this is your site and if they see you do it they believe it's tolerated here. Buck and Barfarn have just recently followed your example.

It's ironic to me that I get heat for my opinions on the Packers while not a word is said when I'm called a racist, an a hole and told FU twice in the same post.

Now you post, he pops off, now what do you do?
You write:
ā€œBuck, you need a timeout.
We got minimal impact from this year's class. Sorry, if that's upsetting to you.ā€
ā€œI wish you would've made this post after Smokey chose your side, but I understand how it is with you. You take issue when someone is opposite of your opinion.
Can you and I bury the hatchet? I'm extremely forgiving. Let's get this all out for the good of the forum.
Would you have the issue you do with me if I praised our GM and HC all the time?ā€

Your sorry, you want to talk football, you want to bury the hachet....then you misrepresent, degrade and antagonize.

STOP AND THINK: You post, and then Buck protests. But instead of writing what you wrote, you wrote only the redacted words I just re-posted in that thread, only about football. What would Buck have done? You had 100% control over that thread spinning out of control and you took the path you did. FOCUS ON YOURSELF and quite blaming others.

I did not call you a bigot/insensitive. YOU IDENTIFIED YOUR OWN BELIEFS. You argued that Charles and Reggie came to GB, therefore NFL Blacks not wanting to come to GB is ridiculous. The core foundational logic behind such a statement is necessarily that all NFL Blacks think and act like Charles and Reggie; otherwise the statement is 100% vacuous. And again with McGee, what did you know about him to conclude he was not a great offensive mind?

Your subsequent response only fortified that these indeed are your beliefs.

I will respond because it is important to understand Ted's hurdles that other GMs dont have. But, I need to do it in a way that does not antagonize or escalate, but INFORMS.

I'll say it again from an objective point of view. No one has a problem with your dissenting Ted/1265 view and I'd suspect 99% or more WELCOME IT. What fun is it for everyone to reconfirm that Ted is a God; when it becomes proven when no one can sustain a legitimate criticism šŸ˜‚ šŸ˜‚.

I don't care for claims of misquoting or misunderstanding. Saying it's the readers fault they concluded they were being called a douche because people want to go negative and judge? That's double dipping on the passive aggressive train.

I'm not the problem for saying there's a problem.

B... Did you see Buck in all his stalkiness? He was posting cuts and pastes to everything I was posting. It didn't even fit context. It was deplorable.

The race allegations were atrocious on your part as well as the foul language but I'm to believe I've never touched a nerve?

Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."

I get where zero is coming from.. really do. I have been here/am here. I used to think having a list of rules etc on a forum other then 3 or 4 was bullshit but overtime I had to adjust.

Let me share a couple I had to glean from other forum users and stick too....

1. Posts should always be constructive and on topic. Be courteous and respect your fellow members. To be clear, personal attacks, aggressive messages, and passive-aggressive behavior is unacceptable. If you take particular issue with another user and are unable to reply in a civilized and constructive way to their posts, you should ignore the user.

2. If you feel another user is attacking or being aggressive towards you, report their message to staff. Do not respond publicly. This simply continues the back and forth that derails topics and makes them uncomfortable for other users. If someone attacks you and you respond with an attack, you will be warned regardless of who started it.

I believe this is what many here are bent about... it's rather simple " debate" until the cows come home but once it gets personal or ugly it has to stop.

Zero your " green and gold glass's " comment is interesting because I personally believe that it's 100% impossible to have a forum/debate/discussion without dissenting opinions. Let's remember the rank and file can "ignore each other but the admin/staff can not... it's kind of why some days it sucks to run the place.( It bugs us more then anyone)

This is one hell of a forum with some folks that go pack to PF days .... it's slow and we lost in the playoffs yet again. Enjoy the NCAA tourny... take in some baseball.. eat hot dogs/brats and go fishing in the spring. Come back in May and I promise everyone will be ready for camp with a new attitude.

Sorry If I butted in here ..just some thoughts from another point of view.

I miss the days of old when I would have my battles with LTF but we both would have valid points to back it up. Like I used to tell him he is my Batman to his Joker, we needed each other lol. I was also the biggest Ted Thompson hater around and we would have fun during the draft just because I knew Ted Thompson would pass on the guys I wanted like Crabtree and Bryant lol. I honestly don't know what happen but it doesn't feel like the big family we had before. But no matter what I want to personally say Thank you to you Kevin for doing such a great job for so long and for giving us a place to be douches šŸ˜
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be šŸ™‚ (PS, Zero should charge for this)

Overall, I would say the changes represent a huge improvement to the user experience, even if the usability of the mobile site still lags significantly. If nothing else, the site seems to load a lot faster now!

One minor UI tweak I would suggest: flip the positions of the New Topic and Post Reply buttons. If a member is inside a thread, he's much more likely to be wanting to create a new post to contribute to that thread than create a new thread altogether, and it's simply more intuitive to hit the button on the left. I can't count the number of times I've accidentally hit the wrong button and didn't realize it until after I'd published an entirely new thread, only to have to delete the thread in haste and paste the post back into the existing thread. Frankly, I don't think those two buttons should even be on the same part of the page, since I have to think the New Topic button is so rarely pressed inside of a thread, but I won't complain either way.

Again, a minor issue, but it might reduce those niggling little annoyances that add up to frustration for regular visitors.

I fully understand that this site is yours to do with as you please Kevin. I also know how much you like it when all agree with you. I would not be honest if I said that I agree with the changes you have made in this forum. From your removal of signatures to no more totals of approvals given and received to the changes of color and outline of the subject blocks and more, I must disagree.

You are a programmer, therefor you feel the need to change things in the site. Just because you can do a thing does not mean that you should. The changes that you have made have sucked the style from this forum and left a bland unimpressive dry web site. The idea should be to attract the timid potential new member.

I would like to see the following changes :

A PACKERSHOME Logo for the top of each page.
Moving the Football Familiarity Threads to the bottom of the Lambeau Listings
The return of Signatures to the post.
Switch the Packers Schedule block with the Headlines block.
An easier method of transferring pictures from my PC to my Forum Postings.
More and better Smilies.

[cheers]

Mucky Tundra (13h) : According to reports, Mel Kiper is furious that Sanders wasn't selected as the new Pope

Zero2Cool (7-May) : beast, you're just one R from being voluptuous.
Zero2Cool (7-May) : And now some Packers blogger is like Doubs to Steelers makes sense!!!!
Zero2Cool (7-May) : You saw me Tweet???

Martha Careful (5-May) : Yes, in the military S2’s work on IPB, PERCEC, PHYSEC and IO
dfosterf (4-May) : FYI civilian companies swipe the S2 designation from the military. S2 is the intelligence branch up to brigade level. G2 is division level.
dfosterf (4-May) : Google it. Make sure to tack NFL on it or you will get the military meaning
Zero2Cool (4-May) : S2?
beast (4-May) : Seems like the S2 has a love/hate relationship with professional scouts.
beast (4-May) : In theory, the S2 test how quickly a QBs brain can solve game like issues and how quickly they can do it.
dfosterf (4-May) : Are you gentlemen and at least one lady familiar with the S2 cognition
Zero2Cool (4-May) : Maybe there isn't an issue.
beast (4-May) : NFL really needs to fix their position labeling issue, but I don't think they care
Zero2Cool (1-May) : Packers did not activate the fifth-year options for linebacker Quay Walker, with the goal of signing him to a contract extension.
Zero2Cool (1-May) : Matthew Golden spoke with Randall Cobb before draft. Looked like chance encounter.

Zero2Cool (1-May) : Unlikely.
dfosterf (30-Apr) : How long until Jeff Sperbeck's family sues John Elway ?
Zero2Cool (30-Apr) : Packers are exercising the fifth-year option on DT Devonte Wyatt, locking in a guaranteed $12.9M for the 2026 season.
beast (30-Apr) : Sounds like P Luke Elzinga has a rookie try out opportunity from the Titans
dfosterf (30-Apr) : Luke Elzinga Punter Oklahoma stil unsigned. Green Bay has been mentioned as good fit

Martha Careful (28-Apr) : RIP Packer Safety Tim Brown
beast (27-Apr) : Yeah, but also some of the wording suggestions Jax only pranked called the QB, not the others... and if he had an open spreadsheet & 3 calls
beast (27-Apr) : Thank goodness he's not leaving the Turtle in the Red Tide
Mucky Tundra (27-Apr) : Cowboys 1st round pick Tyler Booker will indeed be bringing his pet turtle to Dallas with him
Mucky Tundra (27-Apr) : that contained all prospects info and contact
Mucky Tundra (27-Apr) : beast, according the Falcons statement Jax came across it on an ipad. If I had to guess, probably an open spread sheet or something
Zero2Cool (27-Apr) : Simmons put up an emoji with cheese.
