Mason set an NFL record becoming the first kicker to hit two 50 yard FG's in the final 2 minutes of a post-season game. CLUTCH.

Crosby entered the day 0-of-4 on potential game-tying or go-ahead kicks of 50 yards or longer in the fourth quarter or overtime.

Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."

I think an important factor was to let Crosby kick out of the endzone in every kickoff, he is clearly happy with that and I think it makes him more confident in his kicking. He was suremoney from 60 if needed in this game.

When you mess with his mechanics asking him to kick short or directional or whatever crap he becomes fickle.

That GW was classic Crosby. I was certain it was missing left and it weirdly spun back right. Thought it might hit the upright. Mason gets some weird knuckle ball effects on his kicks. What bliss seeing the officials raise their arms.

Now, I didn't see it but the Cowboys radio network claimed Crosby fell to his knees believing he'd missed until his teammates mobbed him.

Anyone see that?

Biggest clutch kicking since Vinetari in the Super Bowl years ago right?

I can't find video of when he fell to a knee, but looks like he kicked it, watches it then the camera gets off of him onto the ball... and then later it shows him on one knee praying ... I couldn't say if he was praying because he thought he missed it and wanted another shot, or praying because he knew he made it and was praising the Lord, but could be either.

In the post game interview I thought Crosby sounded like he thought he was more lucky than good on that last kick, so it easily could have been praise because he didn't think it was going in and it did anyways... also he seemed to attempt to keep praying as people tried to pull him up.

If you check out the kick on NFL videos, you can see Crosby on a knee. But not when or why he went to a knee.

Just unbelievable. I can't believe the poise of Crosby in those pressure cooker moments. Guy's made of metal.

Isn't it great to kick inside a dome? Sure makes a big difference. He couldn't hit a 35 yard FG during pregame and half time warm-ups in Chicago in the cold. (Before someone goes and looks it up, the game winner was 32 yards at the other end of the field.)

And to think more than a few Packer fans wanted to cut him just a few short years ago. I wasn't too thrilled with him back them but I was pretty sure he would get his act together but only after GB released him.
