Fun facts.

What could be better than tying up the all-time Packers-Bears series in the bitter cold?

Even at 83, wpr, you're still a young man. 😝

You can BET the Bears will be trying to knock us out of the playoff race.
We better be prepared and keep our foot on the gas all game.

I remember as a kid in the 80s, looking at that record, thinking about how long it would take to pull that even.

We've come a long way baby!

We've gone from here: Instant Replay Game
To here: Favre to Brooks 99 yards in '95
To here: Shoryuken Rodgers to Jennings in '09
To here: Raji's Pick six in 2010 NFCCG
To here: Rodgers to Cobb W17 2013 season
To here: Rodgers to Nelson 60 yards

Since 1989, Packers have gone 39-18 against Chicago with a whole lot of other memorable and other not so memorable moments in between. Bears won 8 straight from 85-88 during the Ditka years. That left the all time series at 76-55-6 in favor of Chicago. It's taken 28 seasons and almost the entire careers of two franchise QBs to even that all time series back up at 94 a piece. I know I missed plenty of other highlights, but these are the ones that have stuck out in my mind as a fan or that I could at least find highlights of. 👍

I can't remember what year it was, but the Packers were in throwback uniforms, and I THINK it was a Halloween game. The wind was so bad that if a punter punted into the wind, the ball would practically come right back to him. Brett Favre had a big TD run in that game.
I wish I had a tape of that one!

Good job RainX.
There are a few memorable games. Cheesey I think your game was a Monday night when da bares retired Butkus and Sayers jerseys. 1994
The one I think about is Christmas night in Green Bay. My son was back from Afghanistan, graduated college in December and it was his bday. He wanted to go to the game so I dug deep and bought tickets. It was a lot like yesterday cold. GB was expecting to win and they let Chicago hang around most of the game .

Just saw your post WPR. You maybe right but there was a horrible Halloween game as well. very cold, windy and rainy.

Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : Spotting ball isn't changing, only measuring distance is, Which wasn't the issue.
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : The spotting of the ball IS the issue. Not the chain gang.
Mucky Tundra (2-Apr) : Will there be a tracker on the ball or something?
Zero2Cool (1-Apr) : uh oh
Martha Careful (1-Apr) : Too bad camera's can't spot the ball as well.
Mucky Tundra (1-Apr) : So will the chain gang be gone completely or will they still be around as a backup or whatever?
Zero2Cool (1-Apr) : The method for measuring first downs in the NFL will switch from chain gangs to camera-based technology in 2025, the league announced.
Martha Careful (1-Apr) : A big step in the right direction. Just put in the college system is very very good.

Zero2Cool (1-Apr) : Touchbacks on kickoffs will now bring the ball to the 35-yard line.
