WDUZ Radio 'The Fan" Green Bay has reported this morning that QB Joe Callahan, who was cut by Browns has been signed again by Packers

Woot! Like him better than Huntley. He'll never be elite but he's got a lot of upside, give him a few years of development and he'll turn into a decent backup, have a Matt Flynn game and then get his paycheck with someone else.

Good to see!

The experiences in Clev. and NO will serve him well.

The odds say he'll at best be a back-up; but I see no reason why his ceiling isn't that of Russell Wilson with a minor leg injury.

It's nice to have him back but as I said when GB lost him, it's not that big of a deal. He failed to stick on 3 team's 53 and all the other teams passed on the tremendous opportunity.
Clearly he is not ready for the big time. No I don't mean starting. I mean just sitting on the bench during a game.
Perhaps in 2-3 years it will be a different story.

Callahan's deep ball speed compared to a true elite QB is like watching a trains vs a person walking. Accurate, doesn't match the NFL speed though.
