I'm sure all of you by now have heard of the Wildcat phenomena sweeping the NFL. Heck , the Jets just did it moments ago against the Patriots ( thought it was hilariously cool that Favre was waving his arm to say he was open...almost a bit misty eyed )

But I digress, could Green Bay effectively pull off a Wildcat formation for a play or two, or is the O-line so predictably bad, that it would be a sure loss?

I'd be interested in seeing what would happen, to be honest. Why not mix it up against Chicago? Green Bay's back is against the wall, I say pull out all the stops.

Who could we use? We dont have that really quick runningback to put back there and I don't know if any of our backs can throw either....

Some may say put ruvell back there because he is a former QB but he isnt fast or quick enough to do avoid tackles.

Grant is a power back. We could probably do it with Jackson

Either Jennings or Driver being the QB and Grant as the RB could possibly work.

Jordy Nelson started football as a quarterback. He played in high school. He threw on a few trick plays in college and had some nice throws, including a TD that i specifically remember.

He was rolling out to the right on a reverse and threw a bomb into the end zone for a TD. He'd be the best candidate to put back there with either Jackson or Grant. Jackson should get the ball more anyways.

I'd like to see Driver at QB. Just dont throw it down field to Rodgers. I can see him now...Getting a catch and gettin nailed. on his bad shoulder. Give it to DD and give him the option to run or pass.

Why do it with Driver when Nelson is more suited to be in the role? He is pretty close to the ideal type of player you would want to be running the wildcat. A good open field runner with great speed and a history throwing the ball.

Because Driver is so slippery. It could be Nelson. I really dont care. If it worked, I'd be happy.

Well....they have to try SOMETHING different. Nothing else seems to be working.

dfosterf (4-May) : FYI civilian companies swipe the S2 designation from the military. S2 is the intelligence branch up to brigade level. G2 is division level.
dfosterf (4-May) : Google it. Make sure to tack NFL on it or you will get the military meaning
Zero2Cool (4-May) : S2?
beast (4-May) : Seems like the S2 has a love/hate relationship with professional scouts.
beast (4-May) : In theory, the S2 test how quickly a QBs brain can solve game like issues and how quickly they can do it.
dfosterf (4-May) : Are you gentlemen and at least one lady familiar with the S2 cognition
Zero2Cool (4-May) : Maybe there isn't an issue.
beast (4-May) : NFL really needs to fix their position labeling issue, but I don't think they care
Zero2Cool (1-May) : Packers did not activate the fifth-year options for linebacker Quay Walker, with the goal of signing him to a contract extension.
