I was actually looking forward to seeing this guy play. Does this mean James Starks is ready to come back or they activating Corey Linsley?

Seriously? Went to the trouble of picking this guy up, and giving a draft pick - only to send him off shortly after?

Unless James is coming back and they feel that our other options behind him are much better, this makes no sense.

Ripkowski did great, but I'm not sure he's a long term solution.

Lol! I love Ted, but it's funny how he handles his draft picks. "Better get my money back while I can!"

I would guess this as a sign that Starks is getting fairly close. Also if they continue with the multi receiver quick routes, all a RB really needs to be is a blocker, and a check down which Rip should be able to handle. Bringing him in didn't really cost us except a roster spot for a couple weeks. Wonder how they fill that now, perhaps more DBs since that is our other biggest problem area.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

Packers owe Chiefs nothing for Knile Davis

The Packers had a no-cost rental of running back Knile Davis. And they decided to move on before the price tag kicked in.

Per a source with knowledge of the trade, the Packers owed the Chiefs compensation for Davis only if he was on the 53-man roster for at least three games.

They brought in the MN guy for 3 days, a DB last week for about 3 days as well. He's constantly kicking the tires. I highly doubt he wants these to be highly publicized moves, we're the ones making mountains out of mole hills.

As others have said, this seems to suggest Starks is coming back and is a reflection of the evolution of the offense.

Also RB might be more needed if Starks isn't healthy... or even if he is healthy, he might be needed as the RBs haven't been able to stay healthy.
