Seriously? Went to the trouble of picking this guy up, and giving a draft pick - only to send him off shortly after?

Unless James is coming back and they feel that our other options behind him are much better, this makes no sense.

GB either:

didn't like what they saw in practice, so they cut loss before losing pick;

or

GB liked what they saw in practice, and after Davis clears waivers they can sign him as a FA and not give up the pick to KC.

Makes PERFECT sense!

Tennessee did this to us a few years back on a FB [Quinn Johnson??] we traded for a cond. pick

SF also this week promoted Dujan Harris to 53, maybe because GB came'a sniffin. SF gave him 13 touches, perhaps to showcase for a cond. pick. At any rate, SF has 4 HBs on roster and when Hyde is healthy they'll probably cut Dujan again and if interested, GB can get him for free.

Monty with sickle cell trait can be an unexpected scratch for any game going forward. The good news is as it gets cooler the odds of SCT acting up goes down.

The Packers make a trade for a guy then release him before the condition of losing a pick comes up and we're going to get bent out of shape? What's to say that Knile Davis doesn't clear waivers and signs on the Practice Squad (if he can) or maybe re-signs with the Packers down the road?

Either way, I think this means that James Starks is recovering well AND/OR Corey Linslely is about to be activated and they needed the roster spot. Don Jackson hand is healing up and Aaron Ripkowski showed us he can punish defenses.

Some are so quick to be negative and don't even understand details. Silly kids.
