Favre Says Romo Should Play Only If Prescott Struggles
Count Hall of Famer Brett Favre among those that says Dak Prescott should remain the Cowboys starting quarterback.
“It’s a little bit of everything… pocket, bootleg, down the field, short screens… and just the poise in which he has carried himself and the accuracy in which he has shown… is incredible… and the composure,” Favre said. “And I probably, like most people (wonder) can he continue this week in and week out? And I know it is very early into his young career, but I have to admit, you know, I am extremely impressed at the way he has played.”
Earlier Tuesday, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones confirmed with The Fan’s Shan & RJ show that Tony Romo had an MRI on Monday and that the results “were just as we expected,” but Jones would not give an answer on when he may return to playing…and it doesn’t seem as if he, or the team is worried with Prescott leading charge.
