Davante Adams has started 23 games in his first two seasons, he hasn’t played well. Last year he averaged just 9.7 yards a catch and scored just one touchdown. Based on merit — rather than on draft position — it’s hard to see how he’d win a roster spot unless he shows dramatic improvement in the next four months.

ALL the WRs struggled last season, not just Davante.

That's why I blame the common denominator.

Unless he looks like a dud this training camp, then of course he makes it.

He struggled as all the WRs did (in part because Rodgers struggled more than he ever has since his rookie year) but Adams clearly had a injured ankle he was playing on. He was fighting through it at times, but other times the pain seemed to be getting to him. Cobb was also hurt with his shoulder injury.

I know one of the WRs is going to have to hit IR or be cut but its not going to be Adams, I've got a lot of confidence in our top 4 having a bounce back year. Abbrederis vs Janis vs Davis for the last two spots with the smart money on Abbrederis being left out imo.

Ted does tend to keep the "best 53," even if he has to keep 3 FBs or 5 TEs, but odds are they're only going to keep 6 WRs this year.

Having versatile guys like Monty and Cobb helps though. Might enable Ted to keep one less RB, although I do like Crockett. One more reason to see Kuhn go.

I think he'll make it. I expect the running game to actually help the passing game this year. I have a theory about our WR, though and I am curious to hear wht you think. I think in the days of Driver/Nelson, you had big, tough receivers that would make you pay for jamming at the line. With Driver retired nd Nelson hurt, I think our guys played wimpy last year and the jam coverage really threw them off, disrupting the timing and leding to a poor performance by both WR and QB.

Hoss, I think you have a point. But I don't think of Driver as a "big, tough receiver". However, he did learn how to get off jams and get separation.

edit: And Driver was pretty tough for his size.

Zero2Cool (1h) : Eh, don't think so. better to split
Zero2Cool (1h) : on new site, would Fan Shout and GameDay Chat show same messages?
Mucky Tundra (1h) : The Hall of Fame stuff probably came from a scout as Zero said; at this point though it's hard to see them moving ZT from RT
Mucky Tundra (1h) : Regarding ZT at C, Gute had said he felt C was ZTs best position after he was drafted.
Zero2Cool (2h) : LB Oren Burks to sign a 2-year, $5M deal with the Bengals.
Zero2Cool (2h) : Based on how it was worded at the time, probably scout.
beast (2h) : I don't think the media person ever told the public the source, but Gute or LaFleur did say they thought Tom has earned his spot at OT
beast (2h) : I think it was supposedly unnamed Packers source
buckeyepackfan (2h) : Was that Gute or Lefleur or someone else?
buckeyepackfan (2h) : Zach Tom could be a really good guard, an all pro tackle, but probably be a HOF Center. Who said that?
Zero2Cool (3h) : It's March 10th. I don't think anything is done.
Martha Careful (3h) : if we think CB is done, we have a poor roster
Mucky Tundra (3h) : CB and OG in FA, narrows down the top of the draft board a little
Martha Careful (4h) : Meh....I hope we can get Ward 49ers or Murphy Vikings
Zero2Cool (4h) : Yes
Martha Careful (4h) : did Nate Hobbs just sign with us CB Raiders?
Zero2Cool (4h) : Jets have agreed to terms with former Ravens CB Brandon Stephens

Mucky Tundra (5h) : Slaton to the Begals=Guaranteed Big Boy in the first 3 rounds

Mucky Tundra (5h) : Surprises the Seahawks signed Darnold for that money
buckeyepackfan (5h) : Depends on what Kupp is igned for.
Martha Careful (5h) : The Bears are adding to their defensive line. Chicago is signing former Colts pass-rusher Dayo Odeyingbo to a three-year, $48 million deal
Zero2Cool (6h) : Free agent DT Poona Ford to the #Rams on a 3-year, $30M

Martha Careful (6h) : Former Eagles cornerback Darius Slay is signing with the Steelers, per Jordan Schultz.
Martha Careful (6h) : Sam Darnold is off to the Seattle Seahawks. It’s a three-year, $110.5 m 55m guaranteed.
