It became obvious to me today that teams no longer have any long ball respect for Aaron and this is not going to change until he gets healthy.
The defenses will just keep gunning for him more each week.

How can they respect his long ball, if the O-line doesn't give him enought time to even THROW the ball long?
Aaron Rodgers has PLENTY of arm. But if we don't get him some time, it doesn't matter.

Cheesey, you look pretty sexy with that purple geer on! Never bet against the Vikings if the game is in Minneapolis. That is their Super Bowl every year which was obvious today.

Here is an easy way to end the arguement. We are not in practice every day. Its Aaron Rodgers VS. a rookie. Yes an injured Aaron Rodgers. But if Mike McCarthy thought they had a better chance to win with Flynn, im sure he would be out there.

Rodgers needs experience. His career is not improved by sitting him. Dozens upon dozens of players play injured every game. Putting a 7th round quarterback in place of a quarterback that Green Bay has invested much time and money is a completely asinine thing to do.

Now is not the time to give up on this team and season, which is essentially what you are asking.

I'm not a kid and obviously by this post and thread, you are.

No QB is going to do a damn thing with our OL playing like swiss cheese.

Personally, after that idea I'd have stuck with the idea of being a kid. 😛

Rogers is hurt and is not getting better getting beat down week after week.

Any chance we have of winning a playoff game depends on Rogers being truly healthy.

I think it's time to sit Aaron and play our backups and see what they can, or cannot do.

Backing into the playoffs only to be one and done does not thrill me at all
and that is what is going to happen without a healthy Rogers. Right now he cannot throw downfield and teams are well aware of this and continue gunning for him.

Whatcha think kidz?

I've been more critical of Rodgers than others. But benching him? You can't be serious?

He's doing pretty well considering it is his first year as a starter. In a league where CULPEPPER, Ferrotte, BRAD JOHNSON, etc. are starters. He is a very capable NFL starting QB.

Check your PM RedSox and please, quit with the Favre stuff. There's already one section for that, we don't need two. 🙂

The only one who knows if he is in too much pain that he is hurting the team more than helping is Aaron Rodgers himself. I do not think ARod thinks so highly of himself that he would possibly play all while knowing that him sitting would be better for the team.

I love the confidence that Rodgers is showing, we had an old QB who did the same type of thing. Sorry, don't mean to play that card...haha!

Ok sorry. I didn't think anything I said was anything earth shattering. But just so everyone doesn't htink that I bashed Rodgers for Favre or something. All I said was that its one to say you prefer Favre over Rodgers but insane to say that Rodgers should be benched (especially when you consider the options behind him).

beast (21-Jan) : Rankings were 1) Oregon 2) Georgia 3) Texas 4) Penn State 5) Notre Dame 6) Ohio State, none of the rest mattered
wpr (21-Jan) : Texas, ND and OSU would have been fighting for the final 2 slots.
wpr (21-Jan) : Oregon and Georgia were locks. Without the luxury of extra playoff berths, Ohios St would have been more focused on Michigan game.
wpr (21-Jan) : Zero, no. If there were only 4 teams Ohio State would have been one of them. Boise St and ASU would not have been selected.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : So that was 7 vs 8, that means in BCS they never would made it?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : A great game. Give ND credit for coming back, although I am please with the outcome.

beast (21-Jan) : Oh yeah, Georgia starting quarterback season ending elbow injury
beast (21-Jan) : Sadly something happened to Georgia... they should be playing in this game against Ohio State
