They're actually pretty dismissive of Boldin in that thread, ridiculing him as being usually unavailable for the big games.

No surprise, but coach Ken Whisenhunt only said that his three injured starters WR Anquan Boldin (ankle), CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie (knee) and DE Calais Campbell (thumb) were progressing but their status for the playoff game against the Packers would have to come later.

Campbell did some limited work. DRC and Boldin sat out. Boldin took a middle of the road approach, saying his was progressing theres that word again but hed have to wait and see. DRC was a bit more definitive, saying his bruised knee wasnt necessarily better but it wasnt worse either. He insisted unless he practices tomorrow, he wouldnt be able to play, because practice is too important. Im thinking he might have been stretching things a bit, since, if he can get out there Friday, that should be enough.

Safety Antrel Rolle (thigh) missed practice again, and guard Deuce Lutui suddenly came down with a back problem. All are issues that will need to be monitored.

It was interesting to see the media crowd today. There is no question the attention from the fourth estate is much larger this year than it was for Atlanta Wild Card week last season.

I think that these guys will play if at all possible but I also get the feeling that Boldin and Cromartie are hurt worse than they are letting on and we will probably not know until game time.

I read a report that had Boldin with a "high" ankle sprain and knee sprain so I really don't look for him to be on the field and it appears Cromartie has gone from "I will play" which is what he said after the game to " I don't know" and that doesn't sound good either.

Even if they do I doubt they could be the players they are when they are healthy. I'm not feeling to sorry for them we have had plenty of guys hurt too.

Boldin would be a huge blow though because the three WR's and Warner is about all they got when it comes to a chance to win in the post season.

The Arizona Cardinals have several big question marks on the injury front as they prepare for their playoff game against the Green Bay Packers.

The biggest question is whether wide receiver Anquan Boldin will be ready to go. Boldin told Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic that he has a high left ankle sprain and a sprained left medial collateral ligament. It's not clear how the Cardinals will list Boldin on their official injury report, but Somers refers to Boldin as "questionable."

The problems also extend to the defense. Cardinals cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie said his sore left knee doesn't feel any better now than it did on Monday, a day after Rodgers-Cromartie hurt it against the Packers, and he's having trouble with backpedaling and moving laterally. Defensive end Calais Campbell has a cast protecting his fractured left thumb, and although he expects to play, he'll have trouble using his hand effectively.

Although the Cardinals were much more cautious about resting their top players on Sunday than the Packers were, it was Green Bay that emerged from the game relatively healthy, and Green Bay that will be healthier heading into this weekend's rematch.

From PFT this afternoon just further comfirming the injury situation to DRC and Boldin

Well......whoever DOES play for them, i hope we put "The BIG HURT" on them.
I saw on the Cardinal site where one of their fans predicted a 34-14 win by the Cards.
I'd say reverse the teams and he may be right!LOL!

I find it ironic, that the team that rested players to avoid injuries left more hurt. I like that. Every game counts, if you're overcautious you're gonna pay.

Agreed Finland, that every game counts and being overcautious can and will hurt you. But I don't find it ironic at all. I think it's natural. Football is so fast and violent that if you pull back the throttle even a little, it puts undue stress on your body. So rather than rollin through some of these hits, you recoil and get hurt.

Mucky Tundra (10-Feb) : Where Carter falls prey to bad off the field influences (to be clear, not saying he'd clip someone though)
Mucky Tundra (10-Feb) : Had Carter not gone to Philly were they already had a lot of old college friends, he ends up in a similar spot to Aaron Hernandez
Mucky Tundra (10-Feb) : I think some of his coaches told scouts to stay away

beast (10-Feb) : Then Carter was street racing, where the other car crashed and people died... and other teams were scared to pick Carter for some reason
beast (10-Feb) : I think the Saints traded up, giving their next year 1st to the Eagles, and then they sucked and Eagles got the 10th overall pick
packerfanoutwest (10-Feb) : wtf Barkley?
TheKanataThrilla (10-Feb) : Getting Carter and Nolan Smith in the first round in 2023 was pretty darn good
Mucky Tundra (10-Feb) : for some reason i'm thinking of a draft where the Eagles where in the mid 20s and a top player fell all the way to them
TheKanataThrilla (10-Feb) : I think so. I would need to look it up. Think it may have been Carolina's pick.
Mucky Tundra (10-Feb) : i'm not sure who i'm thinking of now
Mucky Tundra (10-Feb) : oh fuck me i messed that up
Zero2Cool (10-Feb) : Jordan Davis was 13th overall
Zero2Cool (10-Feb) : Carter was 9th overall
Zero2Cool (10-Feb) : Eagles had 15th and 10th selections, moved to 13 and 9 to get Davis and Carter back to back
Zero2Cool (10-Feb) : Eagles traded up for Carter, didn't they?
Mucky Tundra (10-Feb) : Obviously he was a huge risk but getting a top 5 talent on the dline in the mid 20s is fortuitous
Mucky Tundra (10-Feb) : Jalen Carter falling into their lap certainly helps
TheKanataThrilla (10-Feb) : And we could only wish to have this type of D
TheKanataThrilla (10-Feb) : It's not like Philly has had low draft picks, but has managed to get themselves a top notch pass rush. We spend so much draft capital of D
