IMO, the order of needs is:
1.
DT. I actually want two of these. Andrew Billings in first and Chris Jones in the third would make the draft an A- even if I hated every other pick. I would not complain about a Lawrence Welk-type deal for Deforest Buckner, and I'd trade up 5-10 spots for either Billings or A'Shawn Robinson. Also like Vernon Butler with 1st pick. Others: Hassan Ridgeway, Austin Johnson, Kenny Clark, and, as a late round sleeper, Justin Zimmer from Ferris State.
2.
Speed LB. I don't care if it is ILB, OLB, a ILB/OLB hybrid, a LB/S hybrid, or even another OLB/DE hybrid. What GB needs is speed. Preferably coverage speed, but I'll take pass rush speed if that's available. Darron Lee or Miles Jack would be nice at #27, but neither will happen. But to tell truth, the ones I really like are Su'a Cravens, Jatavis Brown, Deion Jones, and Jordan Jenkins, somewhere between the second and fourth. Would risk Jaylon Smith if he fell to early third, but not before.
3.
OT. I want someone who will make Bahktiari and/or Bulaga work, and work hard, to keep their starting job. Tunsil is the other player I still consider worth a Lawrence Welk deal. I'd trade up a few spots if Ronnie Stanley fell, and I"m okay with Jack Conklin at #27. Jason Spriggs worth a second, and
4.
Speed WR or RB. Again, I don't care which, though I want the RB to be able to catch in the flat. I want someone who puts that silly "WTF?" look on the defensive players' faces, someone who several times as season will make a move that reminds Kevin of Barry Sanders. Ezekiel Elliot and Corey Coleman are the only ones I'd pick in the first round, though, and I expect both gone by #27. I also like Sterling Shepard and Kenneth Dixon at RB late second/early third, Charone Peake at WR in the fourth, and fifth or later, Josh Ferguson and Keith Marshall at RB.
After those four:
5. Other DL/LB. I want at least three top-150 picks for the front seven on defense. I like Kevin Dodd in first, Kyler Fackrell in the second, Shilque Calhoun in the third, Matt Judon and Jihad Ward in the fourth. Also, Scooby Wright and Nick Vigil in fifth/sixth, Jared Norris and Anthony Zettel late.
6. TE. Real short list for me. Only one worth a 2nd to me is Austin Hooper. Thomas Duarte in the 4th, maybe even third. Tyler Higbee in fourth. Hunter Henry if he fell into the fourth. David Morgan late. A couple more, but these are pretty much the only ones I'd clap for, and the clapping for Henry would be pretty tepid.
7. Other OL. I want at least two OL total, even if none is good enough to push Bahktiari for LT. Really like Connor McGovern -- not a LT, but might push to start earlier than people think at any other spot. Also like both Jack Allen and Evan Boehm, even if both are pretty much just centers: either is worth a fourth. Late round possibilities include Brandon Shell and Joe Dahl.
8. Punter. I like Tom Hackett a lot -- so much that I'd be okay with using one of those comp 4ths to nab him if he's best available. Not sure any others are worth a draft pick.
9. Speed DB: Keanu Neal or Will Redmond would be great in third (more speed). Actually, Neal would be okay with the second pick. Later rounds, would love to see Morgan Burns (speed), Tavon Young (speed), and as late
sleeper-speeders, Josh Burris and LeShaun Sims.
10. Everything else: Jordan Howard at RB early in fourth -- doesn't fit my speed need, but wouldn't complain if he were picked at end of 3rd unless it was ahead of a DL/speedLB/WR/RB I like more; Glenn Gronkowski as possible FB/TE hybrid in fifth; no QB before fifth round.
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
