Wide receiver James Jones' return to the Packers couldn't keep the offense from scuffling for long stretches of a season played without Jordy Nelson after he tore his ACL over the summer, but he did keep things from getting any more dire by catching 50 passes for 890 yards and eight touchdowns. Jones said after the...

Thanks JJ! I bet he ends up in Miami.

I almost feel guilty and shitty and I wasn't even the one telling him not to return.

It's the right move, though. I really like the guy, but if the Packers can't find a way to upgrade between now and August, they've got problems.

Excellent and classy move by the Packers to let him know straight up. Some teams would posture and keep him near just in case of a freak arrest or fluke injury. Props to the Packers and big thanks for your time James Jones! Karl's kids will miss tossing ball with you!

I thought that is the way that they would go, but I don't know why they wouldn't at least offer him a contract that allowed us to cut him with little penalty if he got beat out in camp.

Good luck JJ.

I figured it was going to happen.
Too many young guys waiting in line.
I really like Jones. He was a classy dude.

What I would like to see is to let JJ look for another team and a full time gig between now and the start of training camp. If he doesn't have a team at that point, invite him back to the camp for a bare minimum deal with incentives based on playing time for the regular season.

Make the young guys earn their spot on the field. If they beat JJ out, release him, if not, the team is better with him.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

I see lots of relaxation in James Jones future, and for the rest of his life.

I am one of the biggest fans of James Jones you might find, but this was completely expected. Still has a place in this league... met him twice early in his career here, class guy.

Not many players make it on my personal Packer wall... James Jones is there.
